Susie Voom left a comment today asking where DawnShop went to, and this reminded me about a post I had planned..

The store 'formerly known as DawnShop' has moved and is now called Dawn Designs, it's located at Rookery Cove. When you land here, you will see a sign with a sexy latex pink outfit. Click the sign next to it to join the group and click this outfit sign wearing your group tag and...hot dammm....this is what you will look like. This outfit includes the white boots and a scarf too (not worn cos it didn't work with ma hair)



Now go up the stairs to the Dawn Designs store, there are more free items there. This gorgeous outfit (includes shoes and skin).



Also, Dawn has updated her free male Avatar, check this handsome chap out. The skin is a very nice Another Shop mod and it also includes complete outfit/shoes, shape, hair (not worn) and AO. The free female avatar is great too, I have previously featured this on the blog a loong time ago HERE.

Hello Free*Stylers...omg, it's been too long. It's been aaaaaaages since my last post. I do apologize, what with RL (f'en ay) and this little site, my time had been gnawed upon until nothing was left but bone dust. (Yum. *burp*) Thankfully I'm here now, and might I say y'all are looking swell. Eeesh, so much holiday goodness going around and so little inventory space...

...But that nevah stops us- nevahhhh! 

I have come bearing freebies by the handfull. 

OMG, Tokeo Plastik has totally spoiled us. Look at this gorgie skin! It comes in four shades and is so pretty!! Not only that, but along with it you get some really beautiful eyes and lots of tops! And if you click the box next to the skin box, you get more shirts, more eyes, gloves and a lollypop. Not bad indeed. (Plus, there's the POE gift...like seriously.)

The headphones and the pictured eyes are not free, no, but they are so freaking cool I had to share them with you. I love headphones, I love accessories!! These are totally done up well, the details are amazing, and they are so, so cute! If Christmas isn't your thing, they totally have a bunch of non-holiday styles too. Yay.

And waiiit up, check out my sweet prim nails! They're from the Love*Soul lucky chair and they are beautiful. Get lucky and you get three types of metallic holiday goodness. 

This is me hiding from you because I know you're just looking at the dress anyway. It's a freebie from Orage, and it's fun to tromp around in. (x10 fun if you have made a point to pick up the NoLabel group gift boots Creams posted about a while back.) Not only that, but upstairs, next to the dress is a ton of discounted, gorgeous items. More freebies downstairs (not new, but if you've missed them now's your chance.) Aaaand a cutesy purse on the other side of the 2nd floor. The purse isn't new either, but if you don't have it...you'll want it. Remember, we never quit expanding our inventories...why stop now? I mean, we're gorging on food, might as well fill up your folders while you're at it. Or better yet, hold out on the food gorging and buy more shoes. This is my resolution and so far it's working fine!

I happened over to MiaSnow for that to-die-for Jasmine skin Olivia posted about. (I'm seriously, seriously smitten and will be getting the non-free-but-totally-essential-to-my-being fat pack once it comes out...Mia thinks this weekend...me thinks hurrry!!!) While there I popped over to my favorite food couture shop, LurveBite and scooped up this super sweet (no pun intended ;p) jewelry set, for free of course. It comes with earrings, a necklace, a ring, a bracelet, a belly ring aaaand one for your mouth. And it's done so well! And it's not all Christmassy like everything else is right now, so if you enjoy rocking the cutesy look or just like pink or sweet things, hop on ovahh. 

*BOOM* made this sexy Santa outfit which enabled me to perfectly show off the jewelry set. Plus it freaking rocks. Plus, it's a linden. Yessss. I didn't get an ass shot in here, but let me tell you, if you have an ass man in your life, forgo Christmas presents this year and just wear this on the big day. He'll thank you.

I'm especially proud of this outfit, since my goal in life is to relate as much as possible to Peacocks and Kung Fu heros. (Jet Li is one sexy piece of man, I'll tell ya.) And because I like to paint outside the lines, mix and match freebie outfit compositions are the best!! I kept the poof from the Orage gown and added in the subscribo-freebie Church of Luxe leggings and the Tokeo Plastik Christmas gift top and the NoLabel boots and the MiaSnow freebie Candy Cane horns aaaannndd...

Sanu's freebie Candy Cane...cane!! And my favorite, this pen!! This Christmas pen makes me sooo happy and totally brings me back to Jr. High, all in a matter of moments. You wear it as a necklace, and then you ask your friend to click the pen, not yer boob. And what they get is a package with either an undershirt layer or an underwear layer. When they wear it, they get body scribbles all over them, just like in Jr. High when your possible crush would write his # on your hand, or when you'd detail your homework notes on your forearm, etc. What a clever, clever idea. Not the Jr. High part, because paper did exist back then, but obviously common sense didn't. (Ink poisoning much?) Well, this idea is all the fun and you get to keep your brain cells. And it's free.

The cutesy Bunneh in the background is a group gift from Sanu. Him and his lil buddy are waiting in the archives for ya as we speak. If you have group space and like sweet freebies, I'd join Sanu's group. As she sends a new, cute, cool freebie out, like, once a week. It's crazy, I don't know WHY she does it. She's just one of those super generous, kind hearted people. Go figure. Yeah.

When it rains, it pours.

Ah, the joys of SL and its incredibly sturdy, stable grid. I tried to snap a few pics of some kyoot trenches and boots I picked up, but I had to fight the grid the entire time, and the grid was an elephant on meth. Or at least what I picture an elephant on meth to be like, metaphorically speaking and whatnot. Damn you, LL Dumbo! [shakes angry fist in the general direction of LL in California] *Hopefully* these links will work and all will be back to the *bliss* it usually is, eh?

Also, I'm still working out some kind of bad juju that is happening between uploading to Flickr and uploading to Blogger. If you click on the pic itself, you should get a better view of whatever it is I'm cheesing in. If you see pixel-y ungoodness, know that I am doing my best to figure it out. (Throwing my laptop didn't seem to do the trick...odd, I know!)

This first trench is from KA Designs, which is in the middle of a grand opening for its sim. There's a hunt going on to celebrate, but I found the above trench as one of the gifts in the actual store on a shelf in a gift box (not one of the gold gift boxes that are a part of said hunt). The boots are a subscribe-o-matic gift from the always generous Pixel Dolls. The Relay for Life Lizette skin from Dawn Shop was a find from a Teddy Bear hunt in the Inizio sim. There are several of the lil' bears and they're not too hard to find. The "Lyrlia" hair in "Licorice" was a previously available freebie from Free Speerit (but that is another generous group, so I suggest joining up to take advantage of more freebies that are sure to come). The Form Femme 010 jeans are not free but are a great basic.
This other trench that I'm madly in love with is from that Teddy Bear hunt too and is also from Dawn Shop.

And this is a gratuitously dark picture of me imitating some hot chick secret agent that only exists in Hollywood movies, lol. Good luck battling the meth elephant grid! As for me, I'm letting it win today and taking a nap. [grin]

The List-Under 30 Days Avatar Resources-Saturday August 22th

The List is out a bit late this week, I've been having issues with Blogger, but I managed to finally get on. This will be the last week that I'll be posting the full list on Free*style, it's starting to get super long, so what I'm going to do is post the updates every week, and have a masterlist hosted on a new blog, dedicated to this program. I'll have a link to the new blog next week with the update.

This list is of specially scripted vendors for use of new avatars. It detects if they are under 30 days, allowing the new resident to obtain the goods. There will also be vouchers for under 30 day avatars included in the list. Anything that is an item where a new resident would have to pay is for now not included. This list is in assumption that the new resident does not have any lindens on their account.

Who wants a quickie with me before I go bed?

I was walking around Takaraduka today (great shopping place) and I stumbled across this fantastic store called Ume Mode, check out this jewellery set and headband which was free (or 1L) in store. The punky hair worn here is Jule by Mirai Style (200L for 2 colours) and the mucho prettyness skin is Tuli Celeste [light/1] ~ dawn (freckled) whch was a previous group gift, but you can buy it in store.



Twosome have released a funky retro style 1L top and it will only be at this price until 1pm SLT tomorrow, this one is in juicy orange and brown colours, there are more luffly colours in store at full price.



Rasetsukoku sent a notice to fashcon that immediately attracted my attention, I liked the sound of this store, so off I popped over there. A really great fitting pair of scorpion jeans and teeny gothic top here for free or 1L. Can I just say free, meaning free or 1L? I keep forgetting.



Lastly but def not least is these versatile beach shoes which are a group gift from the :: Sixty-nine :: Group, they come in various sizes and can be worn by men and women. Looove dems!

Dawnshop Male and Female Starter Avatars

A Free*Style blog reader said I should check out this store called Dawnshop, lots of free gifts and great male and female free starter Avatars. I'm always a but suspicious of newbie avatars, but I tried them on and you know what? pleasantly surprised!!

The skins, hair and shape are really pretty good as you can see from the following pictures. The female one is super-sexy, I don't usually go for this look for Creamy, I prefer kind of sweet and innocent - but I think a lot of people will like this.



The female av comes complete with modifiable shape, tintable hair, skin, lashes, clothes, shoes and an AO (animation overrider - sexy walk, poses etc). All the items can be worn seperately, so you can wear the hair skin etc on your own shape if you wish. This is the skin and lashes worn on my own homemade shape.



I have included the link to Dawnshop below, these avatars can be found in the signs above the lucky chairs. There are also some other freebies boxed on the table in the store.

I am pleasantly surprised at this shot, the more I look at it, the more I am in love with it. I didn't even put my hands on, since it was suppose to be just a headshot pic.

I found these eyes as a sample at !Musa!. There is a full gacha series, which you can view below. This version is sort of like a wearable demo, you can see if you like them on your avatar, then if you do, play a few rounds on the gacha machine. 

I really like the albino and dawn versions.

The hair I am wearing is a new mainstore gift from Pocket Mirrors. This is a store that has been around for a long time, and I am glad they are still here creating. My shots don't do the hair justice at all, I might take more shots on a different post this week. The style comes with the hairbase, which is a really nice one. There are 4 free packs in total, each with 3 colourations. Look around the shop for more deals and some great classic styles. The male styles are done well too, I buy them for my malt.

So how will this little hud change your life? Well if you are into the event hopping, this is a good way to start. Seraphim does not cover everything that happens in sl, but it does cover a good number of it. You might learn about new events, or missed ones, with this hud, as it is much quicker to scroll a little list. I already found a few I forgot about, and I am on the Seraphim site often.

I am not going to go into every detail of this, there are all the informational pages linked above, it also comes with inworld instructions. There is even a video created to help you get on your way to using the hud, which you can find HERE and see Strawberry's Review and Video HERE.

What I will say is that I look forward to using some of the features of this hud. I am forever forgetting when events open, so having a super quick source for that, as a blogger, will be lovely. I like the idea of the favorites feature. The Auto Tper, while I do own one, will be handy, cause I always forget what the one I own is called. I will probably use it to check things I have missed, I miss a lot, as some weeks I have a lot going on with my own store.

I can haz spaceburger?The shooting star hunt gift skin from Dimbula Rose makes me sooo happy! I just can't help but use some lolcat speak. It is like a space cat! The furry areas covering the nether bits are attached :DThe hunt is more complicated than normal hunts but once you get the hang of it it's easy as pie. Basically you find the glowing orb particles flying around and get close to them and type "/7 catch" and an item will randomly decide to come to you or not. Some stores have more than one prize. While I have not completely finished the hunt, every store I have been to so far has had adorable prizes from skins and hair to clothes and furniture.

Swimming Away

I recieved a notice from the SWIM subscriber group that designer, Ianni Lane, is closing her store.  We've blogged SWIM several times over the year and a half the store has been around because Ianni does exceptional work and she is uber generous with monthly dollarbies, Midnight Manias, Lucky Chairs, Xstreet specials and hunt gifts.   SWIM is closing on September 12 and until then nothing is over 20 L.   Couples sets are 20 L (or 10L each).  There are several bundle packs for 5 - 10 L.  For current subscribers there are also member gift boxes stuffed full of unreleased swimsuits for both genders.  The catch is that it is for current members (at least 7 days) so you might be able to get them before the store closes but I make NO promises about that.  I can't even begin to imagine the texture upload costs on all that work, so I made sure to thank Ianni for her kindness and bought more swimsuits than my av will ever need.  This is not a sale that the guys should miss. That Tuli is a keeper!

Tuli released a few of her brand new skins last night to her update group as promised and all I can say is WOW! They're breathtakingly gorgeous. I finally got to taking some pictures this morning. I wanted to last night, but The G Man put his foot down in a conversation that went something like:

A: OMG Tuli just released the new skins to the group! Must blog! [squeals]
G: [shakes head slowly] You can either blog and stay home or I can take you out for dinner.
A: [bites nails]
G: [taps foot]
A: [still biting nails]
G: [gives *that* look]
A: [shuts off her laptop with a sigh]

Haha, I probably made him sound like a cad but he's ace. (Especially because he made me the most nom-a-licious French toast ever this morning and look Creamy! I used "ace" properly! I think!) Yes, I'm still visiting him so yes, I'm still talking excessively about him. But enough of that! Here's the gorgy Tuli-ness!

This is the Emily in Coal ~ Freckled with the Tuli eyebrows she included. I lurrrve her freckles. The dress I am wearing is from DeFleur, which has a crazy amount of poof-tastic and totally free dresses right now. There are some in the freebie section, and some dresses are marked down to $0L mixed in with the regularly priced dresses. You have to go find them yourself and no telling how long they will be free, but checking "hover tips" under "View" in the menu bar helps mucho mucho! The dress I'm wearing above is the "Tiger" dress.
This is Celeste in Dawn ~ Freckled with DeFleur's "Gold Cocktales" dress. The new eye makeup is to die for and the subtle lips are just kissable. Meow.
Here's a bigger pic of that "Tiger" dress with Tuli's Celeste skin. The hair I'm wearing is Bishwear's "Serafina" that is available at Savoir Hair's new office. The "Eternity Diamond Droplet" earrings are freebies from Unique Needs and are a very nice staple to have in the virtual jewelry box.

Sexy Sloth Sunday

I'm enjoying my Sunday tremendously by imitating a sloth. I went to the zoo yesterday and saw a few sloths, and I thought to myself, "Wow. That's a good gig." Needless to say, there are some great freebies out there and I'll try to post them in between sloth fests on the couch with artesian beers (I'm obsessed with microbrews, much to the chagrin of my abs) and the boyfriend yelling at the TV during various sporting events.

I was thinking "Hollywood Sunday Brunch Sloth" and came up with this. The dress is a freebie from Dawn Shop that I snagged during that Asri Falcone teddy bear hunt for RFL that I blogged about earlier. It appears to be still going on and while I have no idea of the end date, it would be a shame if you missed it, as there are really nice outfits and skins to be had. The glasses are a freebie from [Mokoptica] that I just lurve. Head to the back of the store for those. The skin is called {Frick} Tan - Flourish (Purple Shadow) and is available from Fricka Morgath's store (which is chock full of fabulous Eloh mods - I'll show more soon because they're so creative and fun!). I love the fact that the skin comes with a versatile purpley-pink nail polish. It saves me from wrestling with poses and prim nails, which is usually a very, very bad scene. The hair is a group gift from Comme il Faut that a few Free*Style foxes blogged earlier and the shoes are Armidi Gisaci Rio Beleza Wedges (not free).

Then I imitated a schizo sloth and tried out the Neko thing. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm completely crap at doing the Neko, Vamp, Elf, and/or other various character thing on SL. I'm actually writing a series of articles about "finding my inner neko," but she just isn't there, so I suspect I'll publish it in about 75 years. I asked one person I know (who declined vociferously to have this quote attributed to him) about how to be a Neko, and he said, "Oh, just put on as much sh!t as possible. Bam! You're Neko."

Anyway, the hair is a =TEKUTEKU= freeebie Creamy blogged previously that seemed to fit the bill. The neko appendages are also Creamy finds from [OZ] Hiding Place that aren't free but *really* decently priced for the neko parts market. The skin is another freebie {Frick} find. The camo tank is by F.A.T. Designz and is free at the German fashion expo at Vanity Universe. The aquamarine Decollage eyes are free at the Gnubie store. The boots are the freebie "Legwarmer Boots" by Katat0nik that are free at Axis Mundi. The bracelet is a dollarbie from GaZoV DeSiGnS -- the designer, Greta Gazov, is putting out two new dollarbies in her shop each day until Friday! These were yesterday's and are no longer available, but you can pick up some killer neko-inspired freebies today that are kyoot-ness approved. The boombox bag is from I-Candy and was a gift sent out through the Fashion Consolidated group.

The kitteh is called "Sweet Leo Kitty" and is a group gift from SWEET LEOnard that is still available. The "crazy mouse" perched on my shoulder is really fun! He crawls around all over ya and is available for free from B2B Design.
Non-freebies but fabulous finds include the jeans and hospital bracelets from EBT Threads and Tattoos. (There's a 1/2 off skin sale that is *definitely* worth checking out with pretty makeups and beaten-up looks for only $300 Ls.) The lip piercings are from FlipSide. The panda leg bag is from *KANA-NA*. The "Ripped Leash" choker is from Good Life.

And yep, that was as much sh!t as I could put on, so hopefully that makes me a semi-genuine neko, lol. BAM!
