free look (everything except the Ikon eyes + the

free cuties yours for the taking, courtesy of recent hunts (fair warning: some are ending very soon!) + 1 of SL's most iconic events,
Hair Fair 2013 (hopefully y'all have been catching our own

If you've been reading
Eden's posts, you'll already know that the driving point behind
Hair Fair 2013 is to actually
spend your
$L to assist the well-worthy charity this event is helping, Wigs for Kids (
i.e., freebies aren't really the point). That being said, some designers have generously donated some notably nice things for the event, some of which were used to style my casual look today: a
free 2-tone hair gift by Due, some
free texture-change chandelier earrings + a
free slouchy tank by AUX; I styled this all matchy-matchy with a
free owl shoulder bag that you can grab at a lucky boards tote bags bonanza, offering a total of 5

here is also very much worth grabbing, easily 1 of the cutest gifts at the event; buy the little brown paper bag on the dresser for

A word about this skin: if you don't already know the Essences store, skinner
Inka Mexicola's skins are on my personal go-to list for her knowing,
intelligentsia faces that exude a certain
je ne sais quoi. This
extremely pretty skin I'm wearing here is yours for

A casual look for you today in muted berry tones, to help complement this freakin' fabby inky berry-lipstained "Emma" free skin that's been plowing across the blogs (including here at Free*Style), for both its striking intelligentsia face + sultry makeup that's come to characterize the Essences line.
This free gamine braided hair gift by Truth was originally sent out in December (it's still available via subscribo; see the Styling Credits below for instructions), but it's so enduringly lovely that I just couldn't resist incorporating it into today's gifties look. And since you seemingly can't have an avi in SL (male or female) without owning at least 1 fedora, this one's $1L, mesh + even sports some distinctive white pinstripes.
This is basically a jumble of unrelated things that I threw together; worth noting are these free bowtied ribboned platform heels by G Field (normally for wearing, not decoration; luhs that the contoured heels are nice + high). This $1L wooden shelving unit was 1 of my fave finds on the Grumble subway rat hunt; it's modern yet simple, perfect for showing off some of your nicer tchotchkes, like these free stackable paper boxes in pretty pastel watercolors from BananaN.
This sakura-inspired look was built around these $1L pumps by Mstyle that are this crazy price for this weekend only; the petal pink, bunnie-eared purse is a new li'l sillie that Gavin + I newly slapped up at Shop Free*Style in honor of Bunnie Sunday coming up this weekend. -- Plus aren't these 2-textured leggings cute? They're totally free on Marketplace, and I spied them on this lovely freebies blog here. 
This floral mini valise I'm holding is also free courtesy of the Ribbon subscribo (there's a red version in the lucky board as well); don't miss the free socks pack by Mother Goose's (I'm showing the strawberry patches ones here) + these new $1L fruit-themed nails at Pulcino (these are the strawberry ones; the blue are free). A new sideblown Truth hair + strappy new Pixel Mode sandals finished this look.

I paired these tights with a floaty knee-length chiffon miniskirt + off-the-shoulder top that's new by Tram, along with more Nestle My Bosom finds: these yummie candy corn treats, a cherry red pretzel charm necklace + this pink lotus chest tat. Demi also has 2 lucky boards on a quick flip (3 mins each) just outside the store and another $1L tat gift; so great for us frugalistas.
In other news, Gavin is wearing a free grumpy Frankenstein T-shirt to go along with his own grumpyface today. I'm also showing a new 2-tone, 1-shoulder minidress by SYSY's (it's not free, but I'm such a sucker for orange + pink color combos) + a $1L multi-rope grape-colored beads necklace by Allure Mirror.

This store was a completely random stumble-upon for me (RP maiden I am not). -- Listen, when you see all the poster girls wearing Lamb hair, you know there's gotta be a fashionista lurking nearby. Heh.
Here I'm showing the free MM board prize, which comes with fun accessories: rose-woven "wrist rope" bracelets (1 for each hand), these rose-topped white puffy dubloon things for the calves + a single hair rose. The white lace "skirt" barely covers anything, which makes me giggle. A very naughty wench look, indeed.
