Sunday Happiness

OK so Mons has some wonderful VIP gifts out right now.  In the group notices you can find this lovely skin and in the store you can find a red-lipped skin and red dress combo!  This designer is always really generous but giving out two skins within two weeks that are this nice is over the top!  The cost to join is currently 100L but, um, 100L for 2 skins and a dress?  Totally worth it!  The eyebrows on the skin are lovely but I couldn't get them to work right on my big fat head so I used the eyebrow remover from La Petite Morte to cover them up (it's only 10L and tintable to match just about any skin) and just put one of the eyebrow tattoo layers from Cupcakes (came with the London skin but might be in the demo as well, not sure) over it.  Multiple layers for the win!  I then put on the free eyelash layer from Cheap Makeup and I was quite satisfied. 

My necklace (by Lolapop!) and my dress (by Somnia) can both be found at the new event called Etheria.  They aren't free but are both fairly priced and the event is pretty cool so check it out!  My hair is from Clawtooth by Clawtooth and was a part of the last FLF event.  It is still on sale for 50L at the time of this post for a 2 color pack but it could be taken away any time so hustle your bustle if you want it.  My tattoo is from Radicalism and isn't free and it's old but I wear it a lot and still love it. xD  Finally, my eyes are my go-tos from Croire and my pose is from Long Awkward Pose.  Enjoy!

Make Him Over Quickie

Hiya folks! Your friendly neighborhood Jerry here with some items from the Make Him Over Hunt.

This blog needed some testosterone, and some of the testosterone I see on the grid needs help. Here are 2 tips to get you started:

First, make sure you're wearing all the prims that come with the outfit. They're included for a reason (either to enhance the outfit, keep you from looking like a tool, or both.)

Second, take the time to fit your prims. It's not difficult and it shouldn't take you long to properly fit hair, cuffs, sneakers, etc. It's really worth the time and effort, and I hear the womenfolk dig guys who can properly dress themselves.

For the Frugalistas

Creator Emychan Aichi reached out to me about her CandyMetal store recently + guess what? She generously offered to assemble some pieces I liked together in a $1L gift for us! *mwuahs Emychan Aichi*
The russet-yellow streaks of this fiery-orange miniskirt instantly caught my eye; a simple dark blue-gray shirt on top provided a dark contrast to really let these striking colors pop. A treacherous "spike" belt (it's mod, yay!) added a fun + random touch (you get another belt with headphones included in the gift too).

I wanted some tall boots to set off this look + I must say that I fell in lurves with the free riding boots by Nova that my good friend Linda Mensing recently blogged on her wonderful blog here. *mwuahs Linda Mensing* The muted black satin finish lends an elegant feel to this classic long boot; the single ankle loop + rounded toe shape is nice too.
Gavin's black button-down shirt is also by CandyMetal (this was his pick, which Emychan has also graciously set out for $1L). -- Gavin doesn't usually rock the "deep V-neck" look, but this wrinkled 3/4-sleeve shirt, paired with Gavin's fave Aoharu vintage denim, exuded a sexy, casual cool men's look. (There's also a more fitted pair of jeans included in the $1L gift too).
Gavin's accessory of choice here? Mouth condoms! This is 1 of several fun dollarbies at CandyMetal (there's a whole wall in back). There's various shiny "latex leggings" up for $1L grabs too (I never owned any so-called "liquid leggings" during that whole '80s fashion throwback in RL, but the black in particular reminded me of those). A little birdie told me that Sey has a new group gift out, which was reason enough to have my regular look-see at their very generous "front counter" area. LP Means Living Pretty

Creator Liberty Shinn has set out a stack of free gift boxes in her LP Design store + I wanted to show you some of these pretty things. Check out the ornate detail on this lustrous, satiny top. *mwuahs Liberty*
The "crinkly" texture of this next free satin cocktail dress makes this simple design pop. I accessorized both of these clean white looks with a bronze, artifact-looking necklace by Alchemy Immortalis that I saw on Karla Scorbal's blog here. (You get the free ring I'm wearing if you complete the in-store short survey too).
This free blue lingerie dress is probably more boudoir then going out; luckily, I don't think Mother Nature minded here. I just luhs the tiny little black ribbon detail in the thigh slit. Living Pretty, indeed.

Finger Lickin' Good

Noju is giving away a newish dark plum + black lace camisole for free in their lucky board at the KDC Mall. As we fashionistas know, it's all about the details: the airy, black mesh lace detail makes this casual top something special.
The best part of this look? The finger marshmallows! You can find these sticky treats hiding out amidst the counter feast at the itutu cafe (see the Styling Credits below). Many thanks to Schnappi since I never would've guessed these were free! *licks sticky marshmallow fingers*
The rest of this look is a mish-mosh of gifties, some new, some not. I've been wearing these $1L Atomic Bambi hot pink hair roses with everything (these lovely roses go all around the hair -- so cute)! Making The Boyfriend (Shirt) Work For You. With Drama Llama.

Sassy has a smexeh boyfriend shirt for free in its MM board that you can wear as a top or a very naughty dress. This was particularly interesting to me since Gavin recently told me that he put together a men's look also featuring a free boyfriend shirt.
Here's Gavin and I engaging in a good ol' fashioned shirt-off (i.e., a mini-showdown of the fashionista kind). Gavin assembled his look himself; encouraging as I might be, this of course did not prevent me from getting in some good ol' fashioned manshionista teasing. *slips G a $1L male dancer tip*
This pretty skin, featuring a rosy, peachy blush + luscious candy red-orange lips, is the latest free group gift Oceane's. *mwuahs Oceane Grumiaux* To me, this coloring practically screamed for auburn hair. -- I paired this look with some of the free jewelry gifts from the ongoing Mashooka hunt (tons of gorgeous free clothes in this hunt + it's ridic easy too).
In other news, there's currently a hunt celebrating all things Twilight, so you can Edward, Bella, + Jacob yourself to death (no pun intended, heh). Oh sure, those drama llamas are all supercute until they actually start causing trouble. False advertising, I say!

Warning: this stuff is strong. As in, swaying from side to side, toppling over + spectacular faceplant strong. (I'm not showing it here since quite honestly, no pictures can quite do this animation justice).
