Mystic Sky: New Gown / New Year

The ever generous Skyler John from Mystic Sky has put a new gown in her lucky chair.  Those of you who follow this popular chair know that Skyler puts a full price item in her chair so there is no skimping on quality.  For the new year she has chosen the elegant Raven gown.  This gown comes with a gorgeous cape with a chained clasp (perfect for all kinds of outfits) as well as two skirt options.  I am wearing the narrower skirt option in the photo.  I'm also wearing what has turned out to be one of my all time favorite gifts from LeLutka.  It's a special version of the Lola line exclusively at Modavia II.  It includes 2 hairbase options and matching chignon.

Evie's Closet Cupcake Madness

Getting the notice that Evangeline Miles has put out the Lucky Cupcake at her store, Evie's Closet, was a drop everything event for me. I was the booby prize queen last time so I really wanted to give it another go. I totally scored this time and have 2 of the outfits you can win. The Lucky Cupcake differs from a Lucky Chair in that you don't have to wait for your letter to come up to win. However, it gives random prizes from stock booby prize cupcakes to complete outfits. You can try it every 5 minutes and get a different prize most every time.

The first outfit I won is the insanely cute Wicked Fairy. I felt like a naughty cheerleader with wings! The delicate wings flutter when you move and are resizable.
The Aria Gown is purely sumptuous and demure. It comes with long and short sleeve versions.

Fairy Fantasy

I really was inspired by these outfits to do an on-the-location shoot, so that's what I did today!

elDee is one of 2 really girly places I'll actually drop cash on. There is always a bunch of bright fun, colours and patterns. Plus a real fsahionista, not matter what her chosen lifestyle in sl, can make ANYTHING work. As you see here. I went with the theme of the dress, and built up the outfit from there. I just happened to have these skins passed on to me by the lovely Daarc, owner of ElfPyre. These skins will be out soon, and though not free, I'll keep you informed anyways!

The wings I happened to score for half off at Fancy Fairy. There are a wack of deals there right now, so run kiddies! There are some free things too, tho I don't show them here.

Glasz DeCuir sent me a folder way back in the beginning of april. It was of a pink outfit. I said I'd get to it, then to my horror I opened it to discover it was pink! Was it meant for Suri? Well I sadly didn't get to it. *Shudders* Well Glasz sent me a new item, to redeem my honour as a FreeStylist. This purple outfit so goes with my new found love of purple! I know purple is in the same family as pink blablablab. WHATEVER! You don't get along with your whole family do you?

The wings I found on XStreet. There was a set for L$3 and then I found a whole fatpack of them for L$45, that's like L$6 per wing, not bad, and they are lovely.

A Touch Of Decadence

At first glance this post is a mishmash! Stick with it though, the running theme is lushness. Be it lushness of texture, prim work or out and out over the top awesomeness. After taking a well deserved break last night, to get drunk, gross my friends out by eating over voice, and get kicked in the ass for not telling Sasy about a new store I had found (ya she totes bruised me too!) I thought it was time to get back to it.



Have you ever seen anything as amazing as this dress? I'm stuck on my old laptop at the moment, so I'm sure my pictures don't do it enough justice. You can get it until the 1st of Jan at The English Rose, a new to me store. You will find amazing Baroque period pieces here, complete down to animated fans. The dress can be won via an apple bobbing game, grabs your girlfriends and make it a party, with this as a prize you cannae go wrong. The amazing skin is unavailable I'm afraid, Sasy made it for herself a while back, and I pleaded in a rather unladylike manner to get my hands on it! But it goes so perfectly with this kind of dress, and there are similar skins available to buy around the grid, or hit up Illusions for some beautiful prim masks (not free)



I am fairy queen!! This stunner is a subscribo gift from my Shannon of Coquette. It's called Ice Queen, the wings alone are 10 kinds of awesome! It comes with everything, skin, shape, shoes. We are so very spoilt, you rock Shannon!



And onto another place in time altogether. The Black Canary has a new main store, and this amazing coat is now in the lucky chair. I bought it cos at the moment I have the patience of a flea and the attention span of a um......dunno, but I'm totes impatient!! Morrigan is ever so generous and lovely to talk to as well, taking time to chat with us ladies last night, although I'm sure I made no sense whatsoever!! On a side note, grats to Adi for finishing her finals, and huge massive grats to Q's gorgeous hubby, who took the last of his exams this afternoon, both of you are made of win. Ash out.

Happy Mood have done the most amazing build I've seen in a long time, It kind of feels like a Gulliver meets Swiss Family Robinson meets Peter Pan! It's lovely and I thoroughly recommend anyone visiting.. here you can dream of those wonderful, fantastical things that this place evokes!



Along with this impressive build comes an array of new products including a very cute beagle avatar, those pretty little birds & bunnies that make you melt <3

They also have a multi posed wooden rocking horse up for CSR Summer 2008 which I'm sitting on here!



There is a hunt on for this gorgeous star dress which comes with a pretty transparent layer of stars that lights this cute outfit perfectly!



I love the necklace that comes with this too, it's quite unusual.. like small moons, the star socks & underwear layers are so cute too ^^

I just also have to say that I cannot take off this Gisele Sia hair, it comes with & without the antique pearls/roses... I'm excited by what this new designer Pecorine Vita might come up with next, as this is right up my alley in terms of beauty and sumptuous style <333

Also, I love the quality of these shoes from R2, to find a pair of high quality sculpty shoes for under $100 in SL is quite a task, but these fit the bill and are great if you want high quality on a budget (they include a high shine version and an ordinary!).

German Fashion & Style Show + Gifts and other stuff!

From one of the notices that was sent out today I discovered the German Fashion & Style Show which runs from 17.5 - 14.6.2008 , so there's plenty of time to grab these great gifts, I was just desperate for some lag 'n rubberbanding :P

I am only featuring a few bits in this post, there are tons of freebies & dollarbies...

Note: The slurls are not the main stores, they're markers for the Fair stalls at the show.

First off is this free Betsy skin by HD Skin Design, the machine that gives it is a little touchy but it should arrive after a bit

Loads of Freebie Goodness

When the Creamster asked me to blog for Free*Style, I jumped around half-naked for a half an hour, much to the delight of my boyfriend. Now that I think about it, I probably shouldn't mention that, but needless to say, I'm very honored and excited to contribute to the blog. My name is Adaire DeCuir, my favorite color is purple, and I like long walks on the beach at sunset. Actually, I prefer sitting at a bar on the beach downing 'ritas instead of walking, but it probably sounds better to say the long walk shizzle.

Anyway, on with the freebieness!

Kouse Singh of Kouse's Sanctum fame is one of the most generous designers with her group members, giving out a free gown every month! Join up to receive her Calliope gown in Blush. I think Ashia just blogged this, but here are a few additional pics, because it's just that freakin fabulous.

There are three different skirt options: slim, regular, and full on poofy (aka "ball gown," shown below). Also shown below is a choker from the hunt in her Avilion store that lasts until after the official opening of the Vale sim (May 17th-18th) that Aisha blogged in a previous post. The hair is the "Rory" style in white from Wonder Hair, available for free here. The eyes are free from Talisman.

Tuli Asturias is also ridiculously generous with her group! You can pick up her S6 prototype "Elf" skins in her Tuli update group (there's four of them!) in a notice dated 5/10 (or 10-5 for you fancy Euro folks). She inspired my elf theme with the pointy appendages from the Body Politik (available for $200), and I've been sporting the "rose" color skin in these elfy pics. Remember, group notices only stick around for 14 days now, so be sure to grab them ASAP!

I popped on Kouse's Calliope dress in Sapphire (not free) to best show off another fantasy skin I came across from the very beautiful Faery Hax. This is free in her FH Skins stall at the Celtic Dreams Market Place. I'm wearing Wonder Hair's Demi style in "Cool," also free.

And back with the Rory from Wonder Hair in the "Cool" shade. I found these gorgy Freebie Aperture Fairy Wings while shopping at Seven's Selections when I became obsessed with that fishing game (Darn you, Seven! So many hours of my life blown on trying to get the Super Ultra Rare LOLCat fish!). The wings change color beautifully and come with a hud that allows you to change the size, shape, speed of flapping, the position...tons of options to get them just as you like. I will warn you, though - this freebie is VERY hard to find in the Seven's Selections store. The exact coordinates are 123, 91, 21, but the best way to find them is to proceed to the back of the store and look for the "Flexi Flutter Wings" sign in red. You'll see a pair of demo wings fluttering - took to the right of them. There is a tiny gray dot that you can click to get them - be sure to wait for said dot to rez!

And now to completely depart from the fantasy theme, here is a freebie dress from AnnaH Couture called "Joanna". She has tons of freebies available from her store. The pose was also a subscribe-o-matic gift from Luth Brodie of Reel Expression. Touch the subscribe-o-matic sign and the #1 notice has the pose. Luth is definitely one of the premiere animators in SL, and it's worth noting that she just temporarily dropped the prices of her poses until June! The eyes are a freebie from Rosemar.

The hair is from Philotic Energy in the Kalia style (not free) that Creamy has blogged previously. The color, however, is a preview of the "Auburn" color from the brand new textures that Aemilia Case worked slavishly to create. While she gets the new hair textures ready to go, she's having a big 50% off sale in-store. Hit up her subscribe-o-matic for the details. The skin is also a preview from Tuli called "Emily" that she will be giving to her group members soon. Join her group now to be sure you get it when she releases it!
