My First Video!

  Hi all!  I put together a look with almost all freebies/cheapies and was going to just put it up here like a normal post.  Well, last night my daughter was bugging me to find a way to make a video of her drawing pictures of foxes (she's obsessed with foxes, lol.)  I asked Plurk and they gave me some ideas and I finally found one.  When I went to edit this photo I decided, hey, why not record it?  So here is the picture and below is me editing it.  I didn't do a ton of editing and the video is long and kind of pointless but I am excited to learn to make videos so I had to share. :)  Enjoy!

Get Ready For Sunday!!

  I want to give you the heads up on something that is not available until Sunday.  Let me say that again: not available until Sunday.  Why am I showing it to you now?  WHY MUST YOU TEASE US SILENY? Well, the item in question will be free on Sunday from 12pm-5pm SLT.  So I basically want to give you enough warning so that when Sunday comes around you can have this bookmarked and be ready to go!!

  The outfit is from Valentina E. and consists of the top and pants, which are connected.  This is the preview gift!!  The textures are crazy realistic and there are sizes in there for some mesh bodies, standard sizes, and FitMesh.  Once again, the item is only available for free on Sunday, September 12th, from 12pm-5pm.  Not after!!  To get this item you must join the Altitude group and be at the Altitude opening launch party during the mentioned time.  The event is to celebrate the opening of the Altitude art & music venue so they want everyone to be there when the party is on!

'Sup Guys

  So my computer is working...sort of.  I discovered how to get onto SL and take a photo but the photos are sort of horrible.  So I had to fix this one up with a lot of post-process, even though it looks like it's not really.  So just be warned that colors especially may not be what they appear inworld compared to what they look like here.  Thankfully all of this stuff is cheap so if you end up not liking it you are missing out on like ten cents. XD

  The "skin" I am wearing is actually a mod applier for the Utilizator Avatar 2.0 Beta that I am wearing.  The av itself is only 400L and there are some fun appliers like this one, and also anyone can make appliers for it if they get the av so that's cool.  This applier mod is from Milk Teeth and is only 5L.
  My eyes are from Real Eyes and are only 5L, and include black, white, and mesh.  They are really cool and creepy and the store has lots of other cheapies too.
  My top is from a big pack of colors by Vitrimi.  I was first wearing the black color for the photo but decided I kind of liked this color better for the contrast.  It's nice to have flexible color options for only 1L!
  My hair is a group gift from Little Bones.  I honestly can't even remember if it is the latest gift or not because the store releases so many gifts.  There are lots of past gift for members in the store too so even if this wasn't the most recent you can still find it there.  There is a very small group join fee that is nothing at all compared to the generosity of the owners.
  Hope you like this post and I hope I can keep this computer going to do more.  The Free*Style readers and bloggers have made my SL very joyous on many occasions and I hope to be posting for you for a long time to come. :)

Epic Gifties

I have some great group gifts for you today from Epic as well as how you can get yourself some free store credit!

My first outfit features the Ice Cream Sweater Dress and the Sparkle Crown which you can pick up from the front of the store when wearing your Epic VIP Group tag.  There are heaps of other group gift items to choose from!

 My SLink Obsession is a new event that has just started this month. If you love your SLink mesh body enhancements then you need to drop by and check this event out.  New designers will swap out each round with all new designs so make sure you stop in regularly. Before I get on to the SLink event I just want to point your attention to these cute sunglasses that you can get at Izzie's for this months Group Gift. So cute!





This month you can find some great gifts.  Stellar has a set of pink nails for the girly girls and it comes with both fingernail and toenail appliers. And Flair has a set of 8 nails with a unique design.  All 8 colours in one easy HUD for fingernails and toenails alike.



 
Another free gift is from Sn@tch.  These stockings come on a socks layer to wear with your normal avvie or there is a SLink Physique HUD that works on the SLink mesh feet as well.  The stockings (from left to right) come in plain, wrinkled and stripes. The underpants shown are the free underwear that you get when purchasing the physique body.




A few other things you can find this month is a fantastic group gift skin and this hair from Exile.  This was the free gift hair that Exile had available at Hair Fair this year and after many people mentioning they missed out on getting it the ever so generous owner, Kavar, sent out the hair to his subscriber group as a free gift.  How awesome is that?! 

Now for the NSFW posts.  I have on the current group gift that you can find in flounce.  For those unaware, flounce used to be known as Cupcakes. The group gift comes complete with appliers for SLink hands, feet and physique as well as Lola breasts!  Not to mention there are two skin tones, body freckles, cleavage layers, blush, moles and pubic hair.  What a great group gift! I have taken close ups of the skin on the Physique as well as the standard avatar.  The appliers don't include all the extra layer options though, just the skin. In the close up on the standard avatar I have the freckles, and pubic hair.  The close up of the face I am also wearing the moles (beauty marks) layer.

One of the Best Free Things This Year So Far

  2014 has been a pretty good year for awesome gifts and sales.  This month is no exception!  One of the best gifts in SL this year so far (in my opinion) is this set of doll heads from Coco.  She is giving ALL of her older mesh heads away for free.  They are meant to be worn with the mesh doll body so if you don't have this you might have some trouble using these.  I have the doll body so I could use it BUT I wanted to see if I could find a way to wear it without one.  I had to change my shape a lot, sort through a million skins to find one that matches the head, find a hair that was unrigged to fit over the head and cover the back of the neck, AND find an alpha layer to remove just the avatar head.  Sigh.  It was a lot of work.  Worth it though!

  This dress is also an awesome gift.  S@bbia always has cool group gifts so I wasn't surprised to see this great dress.  I wasn't sure what standard size I could wear with the shape I had to make for the head so thankfully this dress also had a fit mesh option.  Score!
  My hair is from Elikatira and is not free BUT until August 22nd you can get each color pack for only 99L.  That's a dang good deal for high quality, original mesh, in packs that have lots of color options in each.

My Eclectic SLife

Hi everyone.  My first post as a blogger on Free*Style is packed full of freebies and cheapies that I've picked up in the last few days. I have a bit of an eclectic taste when it comes to fashion, accessories and furniture so hopefully I can appeal to a wide range of readers =)

All the furniture I have for you today are dollarbies from a new to me store called Frogstar.  It's all 100% original mesh and so cute.  I'm sensing that the creator is a bit of a book worm with all the book/reading related items. All the benches come with a heap of sit poses to choose from but I chose to stand up and show off my new outfit and I'm using a freebie pose from Pipit \o/

While I'm normally a dark colours and bold patterns kid of girl - I can't go past the cute stuff now and then.  The fox sweater from MoonAmore tickled my fancy so I had to grab it and while I was there I saw the skirt as well and through I could make a cute little outfit with the two of them. I want to talk about the skin for a moment before I end this post.  While it's not a special or discount it is a very inexpensive skin from a talented skin maker that was away for a while and has recently returned.  !Imabee is only on the MP at the moment and there are only three skins to choose from, but at $200L and under for the skins it's a steal!  They also come included with the SLink feet and hand appliers.
