Nameless post

Hello!

As long as I've been in SL, Evangeline Miles has always been one of my favorite designers, back then, her flawless textures on prims made her one of the best gown makers on the grid. There was a meme on Plurk yesterday about people you find intimidating. Well her. She was. A LOT. Plus she was an admin on the sim where I was roleplaying, which made her nothing short of a goddess to me. 

Then one day, I can't even remember how it happened. She and I talked, and I realised that in RL, her life was pretty parallel to mine, and we have much more in common than I would have ever imagined. I am not intimidated by her anymore, but I feel humbled, every day, to count such an amazing person among my friends.

What I did now know about Evie Miles, though, is that she throws away amazing textures away, because they're not perfect enough for her. That girl is crazy, let me tell you. This time though, it seems she got her sense back and slapped one of these "not good enough" textures on her latest dress, Caoimhe (btw if someone can tell me how to pronounce that, I'll be very happy)

The result, a gorgeous Nameless dress, free for her group members, and only 100l$ for everyone else. If you've never bought anything from Evie's Closet, now's the good time to start.

The hair, you might have noticed, is not my usual color, but it's a gift and honestly I think I'll end up buy the color pack anyway. I did have a bit of an awkward moment, when, wondering why I didn't receive it, I realised I wasn't in the group. I still have no clue as to how that happened, but that mistake is corrected, and I can be faaaabulous now.

Evie's Closet

Hello! I've been active in SL (aka not just playing Barbie on Freebie Island) since late 2007, and a fan of Evie Miles' creation probably since early 2008. In the beginning I was fangirling her a lot, but then I got to know her and I am now proud to call her a friend (and fangirling even more!) When something's free at Evie's Closet, you don't hesitate, you run and get it, log in all your alts and get it for them and tell ALL your friends who log their alts and tell their friends who log their... you get the idea. Since you don't want to be the only person on the grid missing the free stuff at Evie's Closet, I strongly advise you to run there ASAP. These are not new creations, so you might already have them, but they've not aged a bit, and are still gorgeous.

Fable - Halloween

I dare you to find in your inventory another piece of clothing that's 2 years old and still looking so good, what with all the new mesh stuff and all. Evie managed to make a gown in 2010 that you don't look at and immediately think it's old. I remembered making a blog post at the time, so if you want to see more pictures, they're here.

Learning Mesh the Petite Way

***WARNING - This is a Petites Post, you must own a Yabusuka Petite Avatar to wear these items***

My wonderful RL sister(Cherelle Capra of [CIRCA]) gifted me this petite avatar upon my arrival to the new sl. It was a big and scary concept to me, mesh hitting the grid, and how it would effect my store, but alas, this little creature made me feel a bit better.

With so few designer making things for these little mesh avatars, it wouldn't easy to make up a post on them, or so I had thought. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised, and did find enough things to clog up FreeStyle for a little bit, with all the epic tiny person cuteness!

The dress is from Evie's Closet. As with all her work, it is wonderfully crafted, the only issue being that the prim sleeve pop off when I have my hands on, and a girl needs her hands to do stuff, you know? In the pic below you will see the puff sleeve, with a handless(though you can't see) Helena. These little avis have a skin tint hud, which I had a tonne of fun with to get the right look for this set of shots.

The little mouth heart noms is a little gift from Heartistic. Little balls of light poof out of the noms, whih give you an even more mystical feeling while finding a flowerpot to live in.

DV8 also has joined the Petites bandwagon, and put out a bunch of outfits this week. Vasha was ever so kind as to make a gift, which are the bracelets I am wearing.

Last but not least is my fav find. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE eyes, so when I saw these I was so happy to have something easily accessible for my lil new me. You get 3 different colours in this generous gift from Painfully Divine. Each one went with the outfit, but I love the gold the best.

Creatures were Stirring

Almost everything is marked down by 50% at Evie's Closet right now.  Some of the most gorgeous, delicately textured fantasy clothes you will ever find and so many at half price.  The outfit I'm wearing above happens to be FREE.  It is the Midnight Mania there which when I looked just a little bit ago still had lots of slaps left...probably because you have to find it!  Look for the Vintage section and you will find it.  It is a special version of Amerie's Bower, which I fell in love with at Fashion for Life earlier this year.  I picked up the crown and collar set for some ridiculously low price.  There are some exclusions to the sale: the newest release, bridal, kids, vintage (which is already inexpensive).   Before I forget, there is also a sale at Red Mint and includes even her newest skin, No. 07, which I am wearing above.  I love it's fierce realism.  I'm a sucker for my sweet faced Eden but sometimes I just need to be something else and this skin gives me that without having to slap you in the face with it.

If you ever see me out and about in SL I'm usually in some mishmash from blogging and sorting and often shoeless, sad to say but true.  But I could not, would not resist the Lumina Nymph outfit from Evie's.  I am ready to forsake all my clothing and spend the rest of my SLife in it even though I have nowhere to wear it.  The textures are divine, the dainty placement of beads that resemble droplets from the sea, the flow as it moves and no fish feet!  I am sure there are some of you out there who understand completely that love of something so beautiful it MUST be in your collection.  I suggest you all go down to Evie's and get one before the sale ends.
