Halloween Comes to Starlust!

I almost hate to post on top of Sileny's post today because she looks so darn cute but I think you will really like the things I am going to show you!  My love for Starlust and the folks that inhabit it is no secret.  They were generous to host our 4.44.444 event at no cost and I think that the people that set up there are super talented, straight up real folk and work hard to create original designs.  I wanna be a polygamous partnerer and marry them all to be honest but probably not even Appy from Pig would take me up on it.

Here is the deal there: Through Halloween start at the motel lobby and pick up a folder that will tell you who has treats at their shops.  (Not every store is involved - Eden bawls her face off)  The folder will contain a note that has an up to date list of treated stores as well as a cute map to help you find your way about.  Those stores will have a pumpkin near or right in the entrance with a bright orange pumpkin that has a message along the lines of "I have a treat for you".  Touch it and get the goods - it's that easy!  Allegory has decorated the sims with lots of pumpkins (she makes some of the best around) and they are for sale (go to Schadenfreude for a huge selection), so don't confuse them with the treat pumpkins.

Also, Schadenfreude has her annual trick or treat pumpkin at her store.  Go inside the elephant and look for the free one.  Allegory makes these goodies for many of the holidays and I look forward to them every year.  They are wearable and give out treats to anyone who touches them.

I've not shown you every gift because I have to go do a ton of RL things but its a lovely event.  Before I forget all about it, Nefaria Abel, another awesome creator has decided to close her L'Abel brand, another sad for me!  Everything has been significantly discounted.  I picked up some bloomers from this year's summer collection that I had been coveting for only 10 L.  Another do not miss!

one of these days i'll time how long it takes me to pick up freebies, lose them in my inventory even though i have a completely useless folder named "!!!BLOG ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!11," find said freebies, acquire more, get distracted by something shiny, remember that oops, i promised to blog things, take pics, hate them, upload them anyway, hate them some more, mess around in picnick, realize it's past my bedtime, realize i have yet to even get anywhere near blogger, yawn, stretch, get a drink, scratch my ass, and all that was like, yesterday.

ANYWAY.


the i <3 the starlust group is the group i think i want to hump mostest at the moment. their generosity is so frequent that i do believe my timbers are thoroughly shivered. some recent gifts include a bouffanty 'do from pudge and schadenfraude's scrumptulescent pair of dinosaur socks complete with wee prim dino toes. TOES.

free speerit's owners have clearly gone completely mad or whatever because they just gave their group a ginormous array of gifts in one fell swoop... including the pink cheeked skin you can barely see here, because obviously i was more consumed with looking pathetic than, god forbid, showcasing a skin. the skin folder has several super fun, err, makeups (one has a dainty moustache drawn on). the obscenely short shorts were a twosome group gift which i belieeeeeve are still available in the notice archives. the emodorable shirt (which instantly puts this song in my head :D *pauses for an impromptu chair dance party* ) from the paper street soap company wasn't free, but for 25L i couldn't pass it up. there's tons of other affordable cuteness in the store including a bukkake skin, which little birds tell me will be the next hot makeup trend.


so speaking of the starlust, split pea's given away a couple fantastic hats to the starlust group as well, like this delectable thing:

this isn't, admittedly, my first run in with split pea prettiness. i wandered into split pea a million days ago or whatever, and totes interrupted the sublimely talented melatonin hax while she was doing fancypants haberdasher store-ownery things. i bought some of her loverly wares and scampered away, and next thing i knew i had this wicked confection dropped on my head (which'll only set you back 100L at the store. did i mention the feathers and stars and things have a lazily charming underwater sway to them? because they do):




so, what else... sevan's changed their name to pink couture, and opened a new store and all... if you enjoy bright foofy little dresses a la cupcakes, you must visit this store. to celebrate the new beginning, they're giving away this flowy pink babydoll which immediately made me want to be blonde and (badly) channel my inner gogo:

Alas, I am not full of the goofy today as I have much on my plate. (The proverbial plate, that is. Chez G would sock me if I implied I had yuck on my actual plate, as he is a marvy chef.) But I am full of the freebie joy that comes from finding *really* nice freebies. Today was also "Adaire can't decide on a Photosphere background because there are too many darn options" day, but hopefully you can get a good enough look to decide to go snag 'em.

Kellie Iwish of (Elate!) generously marked down a kyoot lil blue dress to $1L and gave the Free*Stylers a heads up. Thanks Kellie! Her shop is adorable - I will definitely be back when I'm not spaztastic. I also have on Tuli's S6 Elf Skin in Rose (I blogged it previously here and I think it's still available in her group) and the Moontan Silver Tile Set vs. 2 that is free at K&K Fine Quality. The hair was a hunt find from Retrology named "DarkChyld" that is no longer available for free but is available for $100L at Old Gravy. The pose is the free "Beyonce" pose from Striking Poses. Beyonce is apparently famous for showing her armpits and thanks to SL, we can all look fabulous showing our own pits too. Woot!

Yet another awesome freebie find comes from GoodLook Designs. SIX free gorgy shirts called "Slinky Gloss" are marked down to $0L. I show two of 'em below. The gold pants are from Kunglers Fashion Design, also free. The ETD "Airy" hair that I am constantly reaching for despite investing trillions in ETD's full-priced hair is available for $1L on OnRez. The Perquita earings and Starlust charm bracelet were blogged previously here (and let's be honest - I'm just too darn lazy to copy the links). Oh! And Creamy blogged the Di Chantilly skin here. The nails are a freebie from Skin Within for having the store within your picks. The shoes are Imperial Elegance's "Sooty Pumps," available for $1 L.
