Let me start by saying I did not intend to copy Helli's post so closely. I'm hoping she is only evil to Helena and will forgive me! Last week she let us know about Finesmith's closing sale, now the remaining items are marked down to 50L until August 2nd then the in-world store will be gone.

 That crazy hair designer, she up and slept for 3 days straight, probably due to that silly hair fair. All the havoc, I thus created. I renamed all her vendors with a new acronym for her store. I even placed a totally new store down, so she will be super confused when she goes to get her mail. I dressed her up, but I was nice, and didn't put her in pink. That was nice right?

When I was done being super Ebil, I went shopping.

Finesmith has been a staple in the couture and runway scene of sl for many a year now. Sadly, they are moving on with their lives, both Real and Secondary. They are holding an epic closing sale, with each item priced down to only L$100. Only ten of each will be sold, then that is that. Stop by and get a piece of sl history, while you still can. I do suggest with the clothing, to demo where you can, they are made more for the runway sort of shapes, and will not work for every avatar/mesh body.

Genre has opened recently, with another great round. This round is Islanders, which seemed very appropriate for the summer season over here in the norther hemispheres. Genre is a great event for those on a budget, as nothing is over L$100(except the fatpacks).

I sorta felt a little like a Victoria's Secret Angel in this outfit.

It's month end, and that means there are a whole lot of events coming to a close. A few that you should visit are The Arcade(my hair and bat buddy are from there), the Cosmetics Fair(my meshhead and skin combo, as well as eyes, are from there) and Fantasy Cream(my dress is from there).

After many years of being on the grid, Boom is closing it's doors. They are having a sale until tomorrow, Sept. 30th. Everything is 75% off. Items will still be available on the marketplace, except for gachas of course.

Jian is in this week's 25L Tuesday, with a lovely earrings and necklace combo. The set comes with a colour change hud, so you can mix up your pieces to best suit your outfit.

Hundreds of gowns, tons of hair

First of all, please, please forgive the crappy quality of my pictures, with all the crashing, this post took me a lot longer than it should have already, and I have to leave in a few minutes, so it was either that or not post at all. And I don't want you to miss this. 

As long as I've been in SL, there's always been a Kouse's Sanctum store, where I spend a few bazilion l$ back in the days when I was roleplaying. Kouse Singh is of the nicest, sweetest people I know, and I would be lying if I pretended seeing her store closing doesn't break my heart. But she's not going anywhere, she just decided to focus on jewelry, and she's good at that too, so I guess we'll be fine.

Anyway, since she'll be closing her store soon, she's discounted ALL of her gowns to only 50l$ each, which is an amazing bargain!

Waka & Yuki hair is closing too (apparently closing is the new black these days...) and they've discounted all the hair to the cheapest price you could ever imagine : 0l$. Yes, you read well, zero, free, gratis. The downside to this amazing deal is that you'll have to cope with tremendous lag and a few griefers (gosh, griefing is sooo 2007, I had kinda hoped they'd be extinct by now)

I'm not feeling very witty tonight so no witty titles for you. Time for cake??

So Rhed Rhode formerly of It's Cake and the awesome FTLO events/ hunts is backkkk with a brand new store, Pestle & Twig, but as she is still working on content for the new store she is currently selling off all her old It's Cake stock at the lowlow price of L$25 each! Yes I know, not free, but you can grab some seriously cute bargains like I did.



Everything I'm wearing here is from the It's Cake sale, except for skin, tattoo, make-up, hair and shoes. The skin is still Glam Affairs' Independence Day group giftie, cus I love it so much!! Warning! This is not a planned fashion shot.  I was shopping at Thimbles with my whif Whisper when Tesh and Gavin and my pal Evangeline all showed up at the store.  This would not be newsworthy except that the lovely and truly charming, Apatia Hammerer, announced today a huge sale at both Pig and Thimbles.  As most of you probably know, many of the Starlust sims are being sold and Gaylord is one of them.  Pig will be moving to Lloyd in the future but Appy and Melatonin Hax are closing Thimbles so this is your last chance to get some of the funnest, most creatively named clothing on the grid.  Enough fangirl (I could go on for a long time) so here is the scoop: Some items at Pig are being permanently retired and marked down to 25 L (fatpacks been marked down to 99 or 150L.  Also anything black and grey has been marked down to 50L in honor of Appy's dog.  Everything in Thimbles has been marked to 25L and will remain 25L until the Gaylord sim gets sold.

Fun in the Box

I logged on to my favorite alt to find many fun things! The sky box I am in is great. It's very simple, but wonderfully constructed. The tree is a demo that was sent to the Forest Feast subscriber (the demo versions are no copy so they are like gifts you can use! Their plants are AMAZING and I pretty much only buy my trees and flowers there these days.) and I love having trees indoors, I don't know why :P The natural vibe of the sky box worked well with this group gift skirt from Parallel Love too. I think I have to go back and buy this skirt in all colors...the quality is very high.

The pen around my neck makes me happy. Look at how I am smiling! It is a gift from Sanu that gives Christmas themed scribble tattoos when clicked by anyone. The snowflakes and presents and such you see on my body throughout the post are those tattoos. The skin I am wearing is the latest group gift from Rotten Toe. The items at Rotten Toe just keep getting better by the day, seriously.

Another skin I got is a group gift from Romi skins. Romi are in my top five fave skin stores, so I was really sad to hear that they are closing their main store on December 15th. I hope things in the owner's life turn out well so it can be opened again not too long after! For now though the skins are extremely reduced in cost. The last two lines are 400L, but all the previous skins are maximum 100L. And they do MALE skins too. You hear that guys? MALE. Yes. Male skins for 100L. Awesome. Also very awesome is this tiger hat from Cutie Honey. It is the Snow Flake hunt prize and I have a feeling I won't be taking it off for a while :P

Actually, the thanks goes to Joodle Fadoodle, the clever and talented designer of !WigWamBam.  JoJo is one of those uber talented creators who has always been so generous in sharing her work with us frugalistas.  However, this is one of those posts that I am truly saddened to have to write because WigWamBam will be closing in 6 days.  Everything in the store, including new releases has been marked down to 5, 15, 25, or 50 Lindens, randomly.  There are also many wonderful dollarbies, of which I am only showing the skins.  I'm showing some examples of JoJo's range of talent and I will leave the price checking to you as I don't want to give away her prices.  In a week where we've considered the cost of content theft on creator's spirits and pocketbooks, I have heard of several store closures of truly talented people and this particular one saddens me a lot.
