Neither Here nor There

I told my mother that if I vanished suddenly not to come looking for me.

Alright, well it's not as drastic as it sounds. I said this because if I got the chance to leave for another world... I was gone. I would go and I would never come back. A handsome stranger to come scoop me away in a blue box, or a portal into the fae realm at the back of a hidden cave behind a waterfall. (I always check.) I would step through and never look back. The colours would be brighter, the tastes sweeter. Wind through the trees would sing like a melody and I would be at home. I would finally... be at home.

My heart would ache less for my wasted potential. I could shed my worldly cares and take new ones. I could leave my name behind if I wanted, and venture into the unknown.

When I talk about this, people tell me I should just travel. It's not the same though. It could never be the same. This earth is still this earth with these humans, these problems.

I packed my bags. I left my phone at home. I packed my ukulele, and a few odds and ends, and set off. Travel's not what I was after, exactly, but it's a good start. Maybe... maybe while I'm out here I'll find what I'm looking for.

Maybe one night, I'll look up from where I'm resting under a tree, to watch the sky's glimmering dusk, and a figure would appear. Not quite all-there, at first, but as he approaches, he coalesces; his form now clear and solid. His eyes are like a galaxy in the furthest reaches of space, and when he looks upon me I feel fear and hope all at once. Without a word, he extends his hand, and I would take it, knowing.

But until then I will travel, searching for the magic in this world alone.

On The Boardwalk

The water glittered under the hot mid-day sun. Seagulls keened overhead as they flew in circles, and swooped to pick nervously at the discarded scraps along the beach. It was hot enough to fry an egg on a tin sheet, but the salty ocean breeze made the heat bearable. Glorious, in fact. The excitement was palpable. The tinkling of carnival music could barely be heard above the bustling crowd, eager to try their luck at the arcade.

Valentines with Cockles & Tee*fy

With Valentines coming up, don't you just feel the luuurrveee in ze sl air?! Hee... I decided to do some looks circling around a few great items coming from Cockles and Tee*fy!

Azure Electricteeth and Xerras Azalee are both excellent bloggers and you can read more about their fashion musings on their blog Pombom! Recently though, both girls have taken a stab at creating in world and I must say I couldn't be happier for em! Not only are they really stylish they do have quite a great knack at making amazing pieces for in grid fashionistas to mix and match!

For this special Valentines occasion, both stores have come up with Valentines Day dollarbies. Xerras over at Cockles has put out this adorable version of her sweater that comes in both men and women sizes. So why not drop on by with your lover to get matching sweaters for the occasion? Azure at Tee*fy on the other hand specializes in gorgeous tights, so she has put out a heart printed legging for us! I particularly love the shade of pink she chose and this tights are so versatile it can definitely stay in your wardrobe till even after Valentines~

Aside from that, I also wanted to show some great item the girls are offering. Both stores carry gatcha machines and we all know what that means. Great prizes and great gifts for friends if you get double the items! Cockles has 12 (yes 12!) different shades of color of this amazing unisex sweater. It's 40L a try and the sweaters are packed in transferable boxes~ Tee*fy's gatcha carries polka dotted leggings in 7 different shades that can be used in so many occasions, the machine is just 30L a spin -- so worth it!
