Last Minute Kitty

Twisted Hunt is coming to an end. Tomorrow, April 5th is your last day. It isn't a very long one, this spring, with only 83 stores in the lineup. I would normally be worried, starting so late, but it really didn't take all that much time. It was mildly enjoyable.

The only part I didn't enjoy was the endgame this year. It was wonderfully decorated, but they normally require more problem solving, this time around it was just tedious. For those that don't like things hard, it will be an easier endgame for you, there isn't much thinking involved, you just need a bit of time to dedicate to it.

One of the Endgame prizes is this super cute little kitty avi. I had so many people comment on it when I was prancing around doing other hunts, yesterday.

I am not feeling all that great, so I just did something quick for you today.

It is not a sim decoration, it is a wearable avatar. I wore it shopping today, it has been great fun.

One of the Best Free Things This Year So Far

  2014 has been a pretty good year for awesome gifts and sales.  This month is no exception!  One of the best gifts in SL this year so far (in my opinion) is this set of doll heads from Coco.  She is giving ALL of her older mesh heads away for free.  They are meant to be worn with the mesh doll body so if you don't have this you might have some trouble using these.  I have the doll body so I could use it BUT I wanted to see if I could find a way to wear it without one.  I had to change my shape a lot, sort through a million skins to find one that matches the head, find a hair that was unrigged to fit over the head and cover the back of the neck, AND find an alpha layer to remove just the avatar head.  Sigh.  It was a lot of work.  Worth it though!

  This dress is also an awesome gift.  S@bbia always has cool group gifts so I wasn't surprised to see this great dress.  I wasn't sure what standard size I could wear with the shape I had to make for the head so thankfully this dress also had a fit mesh option.  Score!
  My hair is from Elikatira and is not free BUT until August 22nd you can get each color pack for only 99L.  That's a dang good deal for high quality, original mesh, in packs that have lots of color options in each.

Listen and you will find

The last month and a half has been crazy for me, with RL and SL. I did manage to get some time this weekend to do some things in SL that didn't involve work, many of them being art related.

I went to the art exhibit featured on the YOSHIKAZE/HUMlab sim. It has 4 artist featured, with a common theme, Sound. It is something often overlooked in Second Life, most of us turn off all the noise, and only turn it back on for events and parties.

A long time friend and fellow designer, Alpha Auer, was one of the artists asked to participate for this exhibit. Her exhibit features sound pillars, which you have to listen to to hear a specific sounds. The sound combination you need to find will be played before you head out and interact with the pillars. What happens when you find it? You get the nifty outfit above! 

The set is unisex, includes a male skin, female skins and various attachments.

I'm not sure how much longer it will be on for, it has already been going on for a bit now. So head on over when you have some time, turn on your SL sound, and listen your way to an awesome gift.
