Bye-Bye Hair Fair 2013 and Bye-Bye Me!

How time flies!  Hair Fair 2013 is in it's last weekend.  I wanted to show you a few more items from the fair including a great gift in the photo below.  Both outfits I am featuring are outfits from Shop Free*Style, which I have not done nearly enough justice in promoting as there are really some wonderful things there for so cheap!  I also wanted to mention but I did not have time to take more shots, is that tomorrow, the closing day of Hair Fair is Bandana Day. Bandana Day is a hair fair tradition and you are to remove your pretty pixel hair and don a bandana in support of the kids that get help from Wigs for Kids, the hair fair charity.  There are some GORGEOUS bandanas to pick up for only 50 L each.  Each sim at Hair Fair has a store just for bandanas.  They are transferable and you can find them for both genders and in a wide variety of styles.  I bought...a lot. Of course, 100% of the proceeds benefit Wigs for Kids.

This is my last post for Free*Style. I've been with the blog since at least 2009; I can't remember the exact month but I've been at it a long time and it's time to move on.  Sileny Noel will remain owner of the blog as well as have control of Shop Free*Style.  Being a part of Free*Style has meant a lot to me, especially all the wonderful people I've met through it.  I've always been a huge clothes horse in SL, endlessly fascinated by the creative process, and blogging has given me a front row seat that I won't forget. It's been a challenging year in RL but I'm still around in SL from time to time and I'm always involved in lots of projects so hopefully I will see you around!  Take good care of the lovely and dedicated folks at Free*Style. Holiday In the Sun

I am feeling the bright colors showing up right now! Orange and teal seem to be popping up everywhere and I ain't complaining! "Hey Sileny! Ain't isn't a real word!" "Oh yeah? Fetch me a dictionary." *Grabs dictionary and slaps grammar police on the head* Teehee!

Poses: Status. These poses are AWESOME! The poses are made by bloggers who know exactly what a pose needs to be. They have poses made for nails, for big hips, etc. They aren't free but they are worth it.
*Note about the skirt on the dress: It's a sculpted skirt and like all sculpted skirts you should be prepared to have a skirt shape, a straight-hipped AO or a hip alpha. This is with all close-fitting sculpted skirts, I just thought it would be good to share a reminder for folks.

Ahoy!!

The Black Market Pirate Union is having a hunt! Some of the best stores in SL have mini shops here with free, cheap, and exclusive items. Adding a hunt on top of that is just getting to have pumpkin AND pecan pie for Thanksgiving dessert. Yum!

The prizes made me feel really giddy and childlike. Lots of color and ruffles and good ideas found in these items.

To claim the prizes go to the area and look around for pumpkins. When you click a pumpkin it will give you a question with three possible answers. The questions are all spooky/Halloween type questions and are really fun. To answer you just type /8 followed by either a, b, or c, whichever you think is the correct answer.

Beware of answering questions on two different pumpkins that are close together, I have discovered; if the first pumpkin you answered on hasn't "timed out" it will still hear you trying to answer the second pumpkin's questions and you will end up getting multiples of the same gift. I think I ended up with like four birdhouses, lol. There are lots of prizes to be found, apparently there are more that just weren't out yet when I started hunting. I have a tendency to jump the gun when I see names like Sugarcube, Ohmai!, Bettelbones, etc. :PBlack Market Freebies:
