Computing

  Some good things about sitting at the computer are relaxing, chilling out in just undies if you feel like it and no one has to know, etc.  Not fun things are cats laying on the keyboard and maybe falling asleep at the computer if you stay up too late.  If these things are ones you have experienced you may like parts of the look I have done below.  Enjoy!

I'm Back!

So a thing happened. What is that thing? I turned up inworld.

As always, the first thing I do is go shopping. How can I see what I missed, and what is new, if I don't actually go out there?

As always, I share my finds with you.

I always love dressing up my dark skinned beauty. She may sport lighter tones, or alternative ones, from time to time when I am blogging, but I always bring her back to the darker ones after.

Makeups can be a challenge on these tones. Often lip layers make the tones look cartoony. Happens a lot with the eye makeup as well.

I was pleasantly surprised with these 2 makeup layers.

Added Note - What is a Scalera? It is the part of the eye that shows as white. Often times designers put so much effort into the iris(coloured part) and pupil(black part) that the scalera is rather bland. This can look very stark on darker skin tones. To combat this I wear Scalera Shadows. There are only a few designers I have ever found with the option, for purchasing. Wee Ones is one of the few stores that has them. It is a very simple addition that can really make your new eyes pop. Or not glow in the dark, haha. I'm an eye snob, I know.

I noticed A:S:S: had a bunch of their sky boxes up for grabs, so since I like to shoot with LadyLight in them so often, I decided to share one today with you all.

Springtime Hunting.

A casual ensemble for you today that's less a composed look + more an eclectic assortment of goodies that are yours for the taking, courtesy of various hunts being hosted around the grid.  
And since I always go on about how hunts are prime pickings for top-quality home decor gifties, I wanted to show you some lovely things from the Easter egg hunt currently happening at The Nest. -- What I enjoyed most about this hunt was how "Easter"-y it felt: it's an bona fide egg hunt in every sense, since there's literally a bounty of eggs sprinkled generously around the SIM. With so many eggs in plain sight, it's an easy one even for the rookie hunter. As a fair warning, the SIM has been swarmed, so you may want to go as low-lag as possible. How cute would these things look on anyone's table or dresser?
I also had to mention 1 of my fave recent gifties: this utterly charming, "Alice legs" charm necklace that's free by Sheep Door (it's shown in both photos here). It's yours for the taking on the RMK Gothic SIM's Bunny Hunt that's already been mentioned a few times here on this blog; however, since it took me a hot minute to figure this one out, I included more in-depth  instructions in the Styling Credits below that should pretty much cover it. -- Basically, you're hunting for scripted, twirling bunnies moving across the SIM, instead of a single hunt object in participating stores (if you catch the bunny for Sheep Door, the necklace comes included along with an entire outfit inside).

Stuff!

I am having trouble keeping items rezzed when I take a photo that includes both avatars and textured items.  o.0  Weird, I know.  Fortunately these items are cute with no avatar in the picture. :D  My pillows and bird cage are from Circa at The Designer Warehouse.  The cage is not free but the pillows are!   You can get them by joining the Cookie Jar group and clicking the boxes in front of the lovely items for sale in celebration of the events anniversary.  One pillow has male sits and the other female so even boys can enjoy them. :D  Also gifts from the Cookie Jar group are this little rose planter to hang on your wall from Sleepy Hollow Farms, in a heart shape just in time for V-Day, and these cute little items on the pillow from Cleo Designs, which are in a travel theme.  Also included in the package from Cleo Designs are things like slippers to wear suitcases to wear and rezz, etc.  Fun times!

Circa has these cute little shooter drinks in the lucky board at the moment in a variety of colors.  I'm not a big drinker but I am a huge pixel foodie so, hey.  There are also lots of things in the gacha machines ranging in price from 15L-30L, like these floats, ice cream and beverage.  Have fun!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Some people hate Valentine's Day but I like it because 1.I like pink and red 2.I like those chalky heart candy things and 3.It gives me an excuse to tell my friends I love them without sounding like a creeper.  I put together this outfit with some fun free, cheap and not free things for you today.  My tights, skin and hair are not free but they are from the Back to Black event which is really important to me.  The event is to promote awareness of mental health issues and you can find facts posted all over the venue as well as inside of purchased items.  My dress is from Cupcakes and is one of many lucky chair prizes.  Love this color!  My stockings are from Sleeping Koala and come in a version with fishnet in the open panels as well.

 I want to show a close-up of the contents of the cute little Valentine's gift from Deviant Girls.  Normally I don't like anything with a brand name on it but "Deviant Girls" is such a cool name I like this anyway. My lipstick kiss is a subscriber gift from Izzie's.  It comes in a few shades of pink and red to match your look.  My little mouth heart candy is from RezIpsa Loc and is only 5L per try in the gacha at the Love is in the Air event at the Cupcakes sim.  My hair is from Mina at Back to Black and comes with the matching hair bases as well.

My boots are not free or from Back to Black, lol, but they are a new release from A-Bomb and I adore this store so you get to see them anyway. :P

Finally, I want to say happy Valentine's day to everyone.  I firmly believe we have some of the best people as our readers and I adore you all!  We should all celebrate Valentine's day by spoiling ourselves with yummy treats in RL as well as SL!  Om nom nom.  You can grab this berries and cream set (with rez and wear options as well as a cute cookie I haven't shown) on the lucky board at Circa.  Live it up!
