The Magic of Oz Hunt

The Magic of Oz sim is, in a word, stunning. You can tell immediately that an enormous amount of effort went into every detail. I loved winding through it following the yellow brick road and checking out Dorothy's house (look out for the tornado!), the Emerald City, Munchkinland...all of it is just magical.

There's a slippers hunt that lasts throughout the weekend. There are two different kinds of hunts. The emerald slippers can be found hidden around the sim. The ruby slippers rez randomly all over the place, and it's a race to touch it to claim the prize. It's a little crazy trying to wander all over the place to find them and click furiously, but the flying monkeys overhead and the great shopping make up for it! You can find some of the best designers in SL amongst the shops.

The Tin Man was rather perplexed at the heap of dead designers and hunters in Katat0nik's shop...(long story, lol).

I wish I could have taken these pictures within the sim, but the lagmonster had other ideas for me. Here are a few things you can find within both ruby and emerald shooz.


Schadenfreude's Caged Dress fits right into the Emerald City with Miriel's regal Bird of Paradise Headdress. Silent Sparrow's Swimmy Fishie was a good matching accessory too!

SN@tch's "The Devil's Cupcake" dress is adorable, and I paired it with one of Candy Cerveau of Eye Candy's hunt gift necklaces.

Silent Sparrow's luxe corset is pure Emerald goodness. Violet Voltaire's dollarbie Emerald necklace is available in her Magic of Oz shop. The skin in all of the pictures is the group gift from the Heart Cupcakes Update Group ($250 to join to get tons of great gifts often!).
