Why?
This blog has been stealing images from our wonderful Free*Style team and claiming them as their own.
What makes me so angry, Is the fact that the owner of this blog has an image of my avatar, Dahlindah Destiny, as her profile image!
This is rediculous!
I really don't understand why people don't just do something for themselves!
The girls and boys here at Free*Style work their butts off to provide an awesome blog, and then someone horrible like this comes and just makes all the effort we put in.....I feel worthless right now, if that explains anything.
The owner of the Moda SL blog took this picture from my flickr, which features the gorgeous Poetic Eyes I blogged a few weeks back. That is NOT cool.
So if the owner of Moda SL is reading, and has figured out how to translate apage, Don't steal images! Don't claim our images as yours! It's wrong!

Could you guys put a watermark of some sort on your photos so you'll know when this happens? I know it'd get in the way of the picture, and can be annoying/obnoxious, but to steal someone else's pictures as your own is just plain laziness, to say the least (without going into how wrong it is).

One could say plagiarism is the highest level of praise but that doesn't make this any less lame. So yes flag, report for content theft, and please stop feeling worthless because you guys are doing an awesome job with the blog and many of us "silent" readers value that an awful lot.
Dalindah you do not have any reason to feel worthless. You know you and the blog are great. The owner of the other blog is worthless. Stealing is a shame, report it and know the girls from my blog are on your side!

No, he didn't have my permission to put my picture on his blog.
For some reason he's consistently been an asshole towards me, my blog, and my group for months now. I have no idea why, but he sure likes to use my group notices to "find" freebies for his blog.
Can I file a DMCA against him for that picture in that post? I read his terms of service for Wordpress, and he's broken a few of them I think, but I have NO experience with this kind of thing. This is actually the only person I've had any problem with since I started Free Finds For Men.
I flagged and reported Moda SL too. I just wish that could be done with Wordpress : /

I was told she stole many pics of my blog too.. That really sucks. Now I'm putting my name on my pics. Doesnt look good, but it's not too bad hehe
You don't have to feel worthless, hon. It's them because they see your talent and cannot achieve it themselves. You're doing an awesome job and there are many jealous people out there who want a bit of the fame this blog has. When I am asked if I know a good place for freebies this blog is the first I refer them to.
There are so many awesome and honest bloggers here, working together, reading each others blogs, referring to each other, and I am proud when I find my store blogged in one of them...
seeing it on the blog of a liar upsets me because I know how much work you guys put in your pictures and posts.
Being a popular blog means a lot of work. Stealing contents will get them nowhere. *hugs*

This blog and all the writers for this blog are great, funny, witty, and say it like it should be said.
You have nothing to feel at all worthless about. If anything those worthless feeling should go the to 'blogger' (i use the term loosely) who is trying to steal the content y'all work so hard to provide.
And if you want to spell ridiculous any way you want to thats perfectly fine with me so don't take notice of the people bithcing about spelling either *hugs*

I am at loss for words... This is beyond ridiculous! I just don't think there is more to say except keep the good work girls you know you are better than stupid blogs like that :)

I don't see the point of why someone would copy like that, and how it benefits them? What's the satisfaction in copying something that isn't yours? I mean she even uses a pic of you as her profile pic. o_O I don't get it. I mean if they even got any recognition from it, (like now) then people would notice immediately that they copied, and shun them. Erm. Okay. I guess she wants her 15 minutes of fame but she's going to get 15 minutes of infamy, instead.
Anyway don't get down on yourself. One bad person doesn't speak for all of us. As I recently started blogging myself, I really appreciate the (thankless) hard work it takes you girls (and guy) to put a blog post together. I always knew it was a lot of work, but honestly, it takes hours sometimes. I find most of my feature items the hard way-- just exploring sim by sim-- and it's a real kick in the pants when someone uses my blog as the source of their finds yet doesn't mention it, so I know how you feel.
Hopefully you stop feeling like it's all for nothing, soon, because things like this can turn you off blogging all together, which would be bad. Just know that we are not all like that, and we appreciate the hard work you and the other girls, do.

I agree with the idea of marking your images. I always mark my images with a unique signature at the bottom that does not get in the way of the main picture, however if cropped off by the thief it would also cut off a chunk of the main picture which wouldn't be nice.
well... its shit that they use your picture but do you realise that you are promoting thier website/blog now?
Think about it this way... they/he/she want to look like you... you look awesome and they like your pictures =]

As far as I can understand reading the blog she has said that she apologizes and will remove all the photos within 48 hours, not sure when that post was made.

It's not cool but it sounds like she was doing it because she admired other blogs and was not really thinking of it as theft. Of course it is but it might be good to watch and see if she follows through and takes them down.
I understand being ticked off because it is totally wrong, but think of it as a compliment in a way because this blog is so good people want to be just like you!
It sucks, but your blog is fantastic, and has the best pictures on it. A lot of people read your blog every day and they keep coming back for the great quality of the pictures and posts.
I think the watermark idea is great. You can never stop thieves totally, but at least you can make the thievery obvious.

I really do hope that Moda SL takes down everything they have that doesn't belong to them. I don't know if it's a culture issue or not, but I read somewhere that there aren't copyright laws in Brazil.

I agree with the watermark idea - its just horrible that someone should steal your image! I heard of it happen in RL (stealing a whole personality even), but in SL?? Man, you can be anyone you like here. And if you dont like it you create a new life.

not only free*style was affecting another blogs too, as Bonekitas, SL Good Deals and so on. The girl used a lot of pictures from welma Larsson, including followers perfil.
Unfortunately, some people just don´t think about the hard job that a people has to prepare a picture. It´s easier to copy.
wow I didn´t ask permission because I don´t know the language, use a translator. Many times I hear from people I didn´t know! This is the main phrase I hear everywhere, GOD! Unfortunately there are a lot of stupids girls, just don´t think, but I understand the core about this problem. The problem is when a noobie arive in SL they receive pack and packs fake things and think that is normal. "So I live on this thief world, I will do the same, since I dont´see consequences." What I can do about it? Spread and teaching new people about the right thing. I trying to do this for my people, I know it´s very difficult, probabily many many brazilians girls hate me lol, cause I don´t stay quiet, I cann´t, I don´t accept wrong things and injustice so sorry. I will talk, I will discuss, I will report, I will fight against my own people until everybody undertand and respect the others.
This girl that made a BIG mistake and took off the pictures, I think she will take off in the followers. I will write there again in her blog, if she don´t delete my comments again.

Bom, mas um episódo lamentável envolvendo brasileiros, bom a dona da modasl copiou imagens de vários blogs incluindo estes e as fotos dos seguidores também tem imagens que não são delas. Quer usar a imagem use, mas peça permissão antes. Ah não sei inglês use tradutor. A grande desculpa dos brasileiros é essa eu não sei a lingua e isto serve de justificativa para cometer erros. Ai vem o grupo das pessoas eu não sei de nada, a grande frase muito utilizada no nosso meio. Tá eu sei que muita gente é infelizmente ignorante para muitos assutos de SL e agrande culpa disso? Chega um noobie na área e recebe caixas e caixas de coisas piratas, então ah se eu recebo coisas piratas, roubadas e não tem consequencias então posso fazer o mesmo com resto. Gente NÃO PODE, precisamos respeitar o trabalho do outro. Uma pessoa que faz skin demora meses fazendo, uma pessoa que faz foto aqui demora horas fazendo, a gente precisa acordar para estas realidades e aprender a compreender e erespeitar os outros. faça um exercício se ponha no lugar das pessoas que tão fazendo uma skin ou uma foto, vc gostaria que fizessem o mesmo?
Ah eu queria só ajudar, sim eu sei que muita gente quer ajudar, somos um povo solidário, mas temos que fazer isso pelo caminho certo, entende?

Nope, as far as I know, we have copyrights law here in Brasil. Some ppl just pretend they don't know about it... Anyways, the most of us are just enjoying our SL like everyone else in the world. I'd just like to ask ppl not to make it general. They (the disrespectful ppl) are just a very small part of us, live everywhere else. :)

Thankyou all for your brilliant confidence and praise for the blog. Yes, some of us put alot of hard work into our pictures and putting the blog content together, so your praise and admiration is really something!
As for people having a go at me in SL and here about my spelling, if that's all you have to say,thern seriously, get lost! Ha ha. I was really emotional at the time I wrote this. I was seriously so angry. I had to go through and take out all the naughty words!! You try and spellcheck when your mind is elsewhere! SunShine, thankyou for pointing this out, but next time, atleast spell my name correctly. Or was that intentional? Either way, I'm not changing the blog. :)

gabi has been posting with her name in the pictures and it's along the lines of a watermark to the readers, from my point of view visually it's negligable and completely worth it you guys take awesome shots that are obviously yours and should be used as you and only you see fit. this is irritating me too actually. just as an onlooker it's really pathetic to see. my latin serves up this nugget: illegitimi non carborundum....DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN!!$&
