i am so smart! s-m-r-t!
i was standing around scratching my pixel ass when my girl stein im'd me all, "MAEVE GROUP GIFT SKIN!" and i'm all "ooo! i can't find the group" and she's all "just search for maeve!" and i'm all "clan of maeve? queen maeve's garden? maeve's friends?" and she's all "look in Mae Moriarty's profile" and i'm all "for real i did that too" and she's all "weird." so i gave up for awhile, til i had the completely amazing brilliant idea of... wait for it..... GOING TO THE ACTUAL STORE. there's a group joiner there, and you can get this exotic bit of pretty in the notice archives:

i have no access to maeva´s..is it me or anyone has problems too? thx ;-*
the group, anon? it's hidden in search for whatever reason. you have to go to the store and use the group joiner thing there.
no..not the group, when i try tp, says a message that i havent access to area...;-*

ohhh. just got this notice from the group:
I'm really sorry to say I found myself involved somehow in a serious issue that many people do not realize, or don't care about.
As you may know, after a long time of work, I released a new line of skins just yesterday.
I should tell you first, that the template I used as a base for my skin, I bought from a so called designer who 'supposedly' sells its own creations as starters, so you can work on them and make them your own.
I spent more than two months working on my own, and a lot of time adjusting my work to the new base after purchased. It was hard, and exahusting, but in the end I was really happy with the results.
Last night, I was contacted by another skin creator with some bad news... to sum it up, my skin, had bits that belonged to her own creations.
I won't go into the full story details or comparitions, because it's too long and I feel really bad about this. Just know that the original creators have been already notified and they will take the necesary actions against this person.
There was really no way I could have known before. I never realized the templates I bought and paid as originals were ripped off and turned into a Frankestein skin up for sale. I did use it as a base and added a lot of my work there. And right now as it is, I feel as I've been ripped off too... At the same time, I do feel this is a serious matter and I won't support this kind of behaviour. For me, personally, I don't support scumbags who steal. It's wrong, and ilegal to aid criminals. And I'm not stoping down to that low life level to ruin my reputation or jeopardize my standing here.
I trully believe content creators should be respected for the time and effort they put on their work. I know it is hard. I know how it feels having something you put your heart and soul into being ripped off. And I also know its nearly impossible to keep people from copying... but you can do something in fighting back when discovered. It is for this reason that I will be taking the new line off sale, and start working on my own base, from scratch.
I hope you all can understand this, as wrong and hurtful as this is there Is little to nothing that can be done by Linden Lab. However the spreading should be stopped and that's what this is about.
can anyone just unhide the group from their profile so people can get the purpley skin?
