Showtime

I really love how this outfit transformed from one this in my head, to something totally different in the pixels. You sometimes get inspired by things, so you have that one thing stuck in your head, but your creativity takes that seed of an idea, and launches it on a journey.

I am wearing this fab dress from Dark Water Designs, called Poppy Dreams. You can find it at The Wash Cart Sale for only L$10! It's what started the whole look, and I am happy with the outcome.

I have been in a fantasy kick as of late, not that I mind.

The Wash has another of their famous L$10 cart sales going on, with the whole sim chalk full of displays ripe for the grabbing. My Outfit, Bracelet and Nails can all be found there.

I'm really enjoying these eyes from Soul. Not free, but they worked with my exotic look of the day. If you enjoy something a bit different, they have released all sorts of amazing eyes this year, so it is worth it to check them out. There is also some group gift eyes currently in the store, and a few in a gacha too!

You can find my wings at a charity event being hosted by the Twisted Hunt organizers, called Summer of Love. They are in a gacha, only L$15 per play, with all the proceeds going to Relay for Life.

L$100 Catwa Static Head

 So I got a pleasant surprise today, when one of my fellow Free*Style Bloggers, Synful Ghost, let me know about what was going down with Catwa. In recent months, they had released news that they were making basic heads, heads that had less of the fluff(expression options and such). This was exciting, as some of us don't need a bagillion expressions, and would be content with a head with less options. So an Animated Catwa Head will cost you just over 4k, while the basic is L$910. The Basic Heads allow you to customize what sort of features you do want with your head, in the way of addons. The new Static Heads differ from the Basic Heads, because they do not have animation capabilities, thus no addon features. But who is going to complain, when it is only L$100 for a Static head?

I hope that the price point isn't a trial, or a one off thing. I think this is a good option for content creators, for testing their appliers. While Catwa does have a unique system, that allows you to check textures from your desktop, on their tester heads, the use of these Static Heads far surpasses that, as they can also be used in ads. I really hope they end up taking this program and using it for their male mesh head line.

The first Static Head up for grabs is Nicki.

 To the Left is the Static Nicki Head with one of the default skin options you will find in the head hud. I also am wearing a liner that comes preloaded into the hud. It's a very mature look, this head, I feel. 

To the Right is the same head, but I change the default skin, and used an omega applier skin I have from Kooqla. I threw on some blush from the head hud, and the lipstick and eyeshadow are from the Kooqla Dkin Hud.

Hairbases also come in the Head Hud, in Natural Colours.

I here, at Dandelion Daydreams Factory, taking pics again. I don't know what it is about this place, but I always end up a fairy, haha. I think this is the 3rd shoot I have done here with wings. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I was just amused.

Lady of the Wild Hunt

 We Love Roleplay is open for another round, but this time it's a little bit special. It is the 3rd birthday for We Love Roleplay, and many of the designers have made little treats for you to pick up. They range from free to L$10, with a few of them being WLRP Group Gifts.

Keep in mind too, that We Love Roleplay is a discount event, each designer has a new item at a reduced price, and some have older items at half off.

Soul recently updated their Uni Ears, I just received mine this morning. If you ever bought a set(no matter what type of ear) and did not receive your redelivery, please go to the mainstore and pick one up from the terminal.

What you get in your new package will be whatever year it was you bought, which will now be V2. The Hud included now has additional markings for you to play with. There is also no need to wear multiple huds to get the look you want, it is all on one single hud. You also get all of the Generation 1 skin tones now, included, even the special edition ones.

Spring Fae

Fair Play has all sorts of interesting things in their Team Gacha. Every participating designer has one item in there, and this unique skin is the offering from Stargazer. The whole skin is covered in leaves and vines, which is just perfect for the spring season. Just play any of the gems scattered around the event, they are totally random pulls like normal gachas. Adventageous Slave

So many advents! The good thing is, many of the still offer all the days, so if you miss one it is okay.

I have been having sleep issues lately, and as a result, often post very late. As of this post, some of the advents have changes over, so please click both Day 7 and today's box.

FallnAngel has been offering all sorts of items this year, this silk being just one. They also have male advent gifts from time to time, that are more gothic in nature, so if you man is into that sort of thing, let him know.

Hello Dave has been offering an applier a day for their advent. This one has little snow covered trees all over it.

Fair Play, the event, is hosting an advent, to go alongside this month's items. Each day is a different designer's offering. You have to look for the big standing numbers in between all the booths.

Plastik has been making loads of jewelry lately, and it is so easy to customize it to match anything else you might be wearing. While ring(part of a set) that I am wearing is not free, it is at We Love Roleplay, which has a bunch of L$10 promos this round, to celebrate the holiday season.

Back at it

Hey Everyone! I am back at it again!

I have been recovering from a RL accident, but recently came back in time to help launch the Anniversary event for Free*Style.

I have missed you all, and am sorry for the sluggish pace the blog has been in. We will amp it back up again shall we?

Supa8 is open, with all sorts of interesting things in store for you all. I have a love of tentacles, so was happy to see all the octopus products in the event space. These stockings from AlaskaMetro are what I based the whole outfit off of today.

Fly Away

Stix, formerly known as PixyStix, has a new group gift for September out right now. It has this pink colour, as well as a cream tone, included. It is worth picking up, there are new included options, such as mesh heads(not show in this post) and an eyelash attachment. Stix always has lots of appliers too, so if you have any sort of mesh bits and bobs, these skins will work for you.

I'm wearing the new Soul Kisser Lips, just released at We Love Roleplay, which are updated with the Omega System relay right in the lips. If you have some of the previous lips, and didn't get your updates, please head on to the store for redelivery. Slink has also recently updated to using the Omega System, so you might want to go click the redelivery there too.

SongBird recently moved to a new location, and are gearing up for the upcoming Twisted Hunt, starting on Sept. 19th. I'm not going to spoil it by showing you anything, but my outfit today is from SongBird, so I thought I'd give you a bit of a tease, haha. Not free by any means, but fun to play in, it inspired my whole look today.

The Long Swim

Some journeys are long, seemingly without end or much rest. 

We have been losing a lot of Second Life residents this year to the big C word, Cancer. Recently, we had the chance to band together with a single purpose, and help a designer, who still has a fighting chance. 

Lexi Zelin, owner of AngelRed Couture, a very popular Mesh Template creator, supplys such stores as Plastik, Snatch, Purplemoon, {MV} and many more, with the assets to allow them to create pieces for all SLers to enjoy. 

Lexi has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is in desperate need of funds to assist in paying her medical bills / expenses as she is unable to work. Lexi is only 28 years old, mother of one beautiful little girl.

I know some people have started to get leery of these sorts of things, but this is a cause I support, and we here at Free*Style are always supportive of these sorts of fundraisers.

I am wearing a circlet created for the event, by Asylum Utherwurldly, Owner/Designer of Chop Shop. There is a gold and silver version available. 

!Musa! has created these lovely mermaid ears for the new upcoming round of We Love Roleplay. While these are not free, they are discounted for the event. I had to show them to you as I got super excited to have been able to preview the new sim for WLRP, which you will all get to explore soon. These ears come with a hud, which allow you to change the colour of the ears, the metals and the seashells.

I'm not wearing any eyes in this post because I kind of liked how it looked without them lol
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE HEAD:
This head was meant for male avs, which means it comes with a matching male skin.  If you want to wear a female skin with it that matches you will have to find one on your own, I tried some female ones from Genesis Lab and got a close enough match for the photo.  It has a wider/thicker neck shape than female heads generally do so it might not work with your shape.  I had to photoshop a seam out, lol.  This head also comes with matching elf ears so that's awesome.  If you like it, go check out the main store for more gifts and for some interesting full priced items.
