Being that I do not, nor intend, to be a paid account avatar, I am always seeking quality items that will not cost me much more than the time to retrieve them. I am grateful for online sites such as yours and Venturino Benson's for providing us with information as to where we may obtain said items. However, while Venturino posts accurate locations or SLURs (not to mention excellent photographs of the items he and his partner model on the site), your SLURs have proven far more difficult to access. Once inworld, they are either obsolete, or simply not functional. While I recognize that your work is for our beneficence, I urge you to consider how frustrating it is to attempt to locate anything with faulty links. Take for example the link to the SY&SY skins. Not only do you not publish exactly what the creators or owners of the group call themselves (and we know the over abundance of grammatical errors in SL!), but the group itself could not be found under a "group" search but rather under "all." It is frustrating that once the group was located, it was unavailable to the public, therefore, we could not enter the sim, much less the store, and the skins were made completely unaccessible. Such a waste of my time and efforts. Please revise the wording in your postings, particularly when stating the specifics of an item. With the chitchat, you are free to do as you please and have no compunction about it, this is your posting after all. One last thing, if you acquired something in the past, please state so in the post so that we are made aware that the item/SLUR/etc. could be discontinued by the time we view it.

Thanks for your very detailed comment and I'm sorry you are not happy that our slurls are sometimes broken links

We work hard on this blog but we do it for fun and to help people who are short of Lindens. It is not a business and we do not take it hugely seriously.

We try our best to provide correct links/information and any mistakes are accidental. If we make a mistake all you have to do is ask and we'll correct it.

Thanks
Creamy

Are you for real? Not only is this one of the few blogs that even mentioned you had to have your group tag on to even get to this sim, I have never had trouble with one of their SLURLs. They are not responsible for the limitations of the SL search engine or the owner of the store not having herself listed anywhere but in "All."

Last I checked, the group was public, but the land wasn't. If that changed, that is hardly the fault of the people posting here.

Finally, their work here is not for our beneficence, as that would be an extremely convoluted way to imply that we are somehow being generous with the hard work that the contributors here do. If anything, it is for our benefit. And provided (with snazzy pictures!) completely free to the public, updated daily, (sometimes several times!) so that we may enjoy SL and look good without breaking the bank.

Sorry for the rant... just get sick of ungrateful people complaining about the quality of posts/items and potentially discouraging the contributors of a blog. I do not want to see another blog closed because of destructive comments like this. Good work to everyone here!!

Oh and Creamy, I am replying to Theoretical's comment, not yours... just took my a while to write it, I think! :)

TY Kat. Everyone loves a critic, Theo, especially one that creates a blog to who's sole post at this time is a continuation of trash-talk of F*S...like there isn't enough drama and hatred in SL. Your diatribe seems like nothing more than window-dressing for the grab'n'go mentality that is the bane of SL designers. I don't believe the vast majority of F*S readers are like that; most of us have precious few Lindens and we want to spend them wisely as well as support and appreciate the good work of designers. As a stickler for details such as slurls and prices, your criticism just leaves me peeved.

AH yes, my fave thing in SL...people who complain about free things not being easy enough to attain.

First off, it is YS&YS, not SY&SY as you wrote; if you are going to insult me for making a mistake then don't make a mistake of your own.

Second, the slurl is correct.

Third, the group is called YourSkin & YourShape. I made the mistake and forgot a space in there. I am surprised that in all your hard work of searching for a free item that you will never, ever pay for that you couldn't figure out the space.

Fourth, there is little to know editing of the outfits in the photos, so say what you like on your complaint blog but this IS what the goods look like to me. If it's not what they look like to you, it is a matter of different graphics and lighting NOT the fault of the blog photographers.

I challenge you to go to one of the hard working designers and complain to them that it took too long for you to find one of their gifts. Oh, and make sure when complaining that you tell them you will never be spending a Linden in their shop anyway.

BTW, these comments are mine and not Creamy's. She shall not be held responsible for my rant :D

Awwww sweety....did your parents once move and not tell you their new address? Abandonment issues maybe? In other words, suck it up Sally. Slurls are always breaking, but with a little ingenuity and the help of something called "search," these obstacles are rather easily overcome.

Theorectical, I wish that readers who want to complain understood how many hours go into a post like this. I wish you knew how many hours Sileny spent running down those items in the first place, doing all the work you are crying about now, usually many times over, to find only the highest quality freebies to showcase. Really, if all she did was publish a picture and say, "this it out there, go find it", she'd have already done you a huge service. Never mind countless hours photographing, writing, uploading and linking. It is absolutely unconscionable that you would thank her for all that effort with a critique of how you feel it "should" be done.

By all means, if you are not satisfied with how it’s being done, do it yourself.

Well said Renee. This moaning about not good enough service just shows what for "Theoretical" came to SL, and thats just TAKING. As a creator and RL designer (who by the way has an average hour fee of 50 Euros) I hate people like you, without appriciation for other peoples work and time. Bloggers spend endless hours of their free time to research, take pictures and write, so an ignoramus like you can go and take the stuff we created in many hours and days for free or a rediculous amount compared to the effort it costed to make it. Your comment shows incredible arrogance and thoughtlesness, as well as a very questionable attitude orbiting solely around the own egocentric needs. People like you make me want to make no more freebies, cause all to often it`s like casting pearls before the swine. I guess if you ever wake up from your ego trip, you will be ashemed about the stupidity of your statement.
