It's been a year.

A year of magic, mind bending and wonder.

Magic of Oz first opened it's doors to the public with a hunt that was so unique it was talked about for months to come. It didn't stop there, with other hunts cropping up here and there on the sim , breaking the rules, making hunts more interesting, more worth it, and with designers more happy to provide gifts, cause it was something REAL.

To mark it's start of it's Second Year, The Team at Magic of Oz are bringing back the Slipper Hunt, new and improved, but with a Twist. This year is the Witch's year.

The Witch's Twisted magic has turned all the slipper to silver. Your mission, help find all the slippers. There are many to be had. Here is a list, so you can more easily track what you need:

As you can see from above guys, there are more then a few items that you yourself can grab up. Most Vendros at Magic of Oz try to make these events fun for all sexes/Races/Creatures.

I'll be previewing a few of the gifts here as a sneak peak, but I have a full post on it's way. The reason for this, is these hunts at Magic of Oz are always a bit different, and you guys need a bit of help sometimes, I find it easier to look at a post rather then a notecard, when out and about.

So how do you play?

A) Silvery Slippers fall all around the sim, these are what you are looking for. When you do find one, click on it, and it's yours! It will send you a Witch's Hat.

B) This hat will go into your objects folder once you have accepted it. It will have the name of the store on it. Now for those Designers that have more then one gift in their Stores, you'll have to collect a few up. Now some stores have 2 locations, these hats will say where that hat can be used, Munchkin Land or the Witch's Castle.

C) You want your prize now don't you? Wear the hat, go find the store, the hat will have in it's title and will chat what store it belongs to. So go on, find the store!

D) You looking for that naughty broom that holds your prize hostage. You got to get really close to it, maybe Hump or Ride it? that might help. While you are rubbing try clicking your hat, you should get a gift! See those digital thighs are good for something.

E) Now that hat is useless, one time use only, no matter how much the broom likes your attention! So if it's one of them stores with 2 gifts, throw on your other hat for the same store, or go find another. The thing that can suck is the broom sends gifts out at random, so you might get the same gift 3 times in a row. It's all just luck I guess.

F) Enjoy your gifty!

***Tip: collect multiples of the store that have multiple gifts, so you don't have to go find another hat is the second sends you the same gift. Also I like to collect all hunt items first, then go store hopping, cause that way you can just go on tour, with all hats, rather then trying to find that one store amoung many.***

Here I'm wearing another event exclusive dress from The Laughing Academy, which is only L$50 during this event paired with the Hunt Gift from Balderdash.



This Necklace and Earring set from Bladerdash is truely unique. Balderdash is known for it's use of colours and it's organic feel to their jewelry. This is actually the type of jewelry I make in RL. I didn't get a shot, but the back of this necklace is truely amazing, shown loosely done up off to the one side. Also the textures on the earrings are differnet, not mirrored, making the stones seem very moody. I don't wear jewelry in sl, for many different reasons, but Bladerdash is one of the few stores I will buy jewelry from and actually wear for myself, and not an ad.
