Gorgeous things! But lordy lordy, why must people wear every damn prim they own to an event that they must KNOW will be crowded? I just want to get some cool black feather doodahs without getting all bogged down in lag.

I'm curious - what exactly is the reason for the event? Is it a fundraiser? Some kind of awareness thing? Just for the heck of it? I have guesses as to what "Designers United" means, but I'd like to know for sure :)
avatars wearing prims doesn't slow the sim down. a sim doesn't even see what an avatar looks like. The lag comes from the numebr of avatars in a sim and the sim physics tracking them. The only lag you can get from avatar attachments is rendering lag, and rendering is client side only. but again, it doesn't lag the sim. http://analutetia.com/blog/anatomy-of-lag/ covers it better than i can.
